Loving everything about water and beaches as she does, she is stunned that she grew up outside of Chicago and graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Architecture. Her proudest moment in college was lettering in swimming despite being in class 12 hours a day studying and drawing buildings.</p>\r\n<p>Katy coaches in the Learn to Swim program and loves working with her team on their swimming skills. Her favorite thing about coaching Masters is being able to help people advance in their sport.  For you beginners out there, here is what she\'d say to you, &quot;Learn the fundementals and believe in yourself...always believe in yourself!&quot;  To keep herself motivated she sets high standards and goals and then gives it her all. </p>\r\n<p>When she is not swimming, Laura enjoys hanging out with her friends and family and drinking red wine - which goes along well with her favorite quote, &quot;It\'s 5:00 somewhere.&quot;</p>\r\n<hr /></span><br><span class=\"coachesBio\"><p><img height=\"197\" align=\"left\" width=\"200\" style=\"margin-right: 10px;\" src=\"http://www.ClubAssistant.com/c/E820A45/image/Coaches/ChrisAikman.jpg\" alt=\"\" />\r\n<h3><strong><span class=\"coachesName\">Chris Aikman</span></strong></h3>\r\nChris has been coaching for 15 years and is ASCA certified.  He has been competing for over 30 years and has finished over 200 triathlons.</p>\r\n<p>He has his BS from ASU. In his spare time he bartends at the Celebrity Theater, lifts weights and plays racquetball.</p>\r\n<p>He has 10 siblings:)  Really!</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<hr /></span><br><span class=\"coachesBio\"><h3><strong><span class=\"coachesName\">Ed Longwell</span></strong></h3>\r\n<p>Ed was born in Landstuhl, Germany but grew up in Tempe, AZ.  He graduated from ASU with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.    </p>\r\n<p>Ed has been swimming for 35 years and happy to report he has not drowned once!  Eleven years ago he took up the crazy sport of triathlons and says he stays motivated by signing up for races and competing against the clock and fellow athletes.  For beginners, his words of wisdom to you are, &quot;Listen to your coach!&quot;  </p>\r\n<p>When he is not training, Ed likes to read, travel, watch ASU football and eat, with Yakisoba being one if his favorite dishes!
