  1. Start with a leisurely but careful drive from the Valley on Friday afternoon. Be prepared for snowy conditions, but remember that this is one of the bonuses of this trip.

  2. Stay at the Phoenix Inn downtown (we have arranged a discounted deal-see the attached sheet).

  3. Enjoy a meal at 5 Fusion and Sushi Bar downtown, or drive to Longboard Louie\'s East (we have arranged discounted deals).

  4. Plan an evening of moonlight snowshoeing or cross-country skiing at Meissner Sno-park. The moon will be full, allowing you to enjoy the unique beauty of the Oregon Ponderosa forest by ethereal moonlight. Try a Wanderlust Tours snowshoe tour-info attached.

  5. Sleep in late on Saturday morning.

  6. Take a short walk downtown and grab your favorite coffee concoction at Thump Coffee (we have arranged a discount coupon for two). Enjoy breakfast at one of Bend\'s many downtown eateries.

  7. Meander to JSFC-one of the finest race facilities in Oregon-for the meet. Check-in and warm-up starts at noon, and the meet starts at 1:00pm. Let\'s discover who the finest all-around swimmers really are!

  8. After the meet, meet your pals for the post-meet social at Boston\'s Pizza. Remember that all swimmers who complete the 5-event Pentathlon or the 3-event Brute Squad format will receive special commemorative tall glasses & a certificate for a free beer or non-alcoholic beverage.

  9. Sleep soundly after a day well spent.

  10. Grab coffee and breakfast again.

  11. Go skiing! Drive up the hill to Mt. Bachelor. Or split your trip home in two by going to Willamette Pass (on the way to Eugene and other points southwest), Hoodoo Ski Area (on the way west over the Santiam Pass), or even Mt. Hood (on the way northwest towards the Portland Metro area).

  12. Finish your drive home, knowing that you have made the most out of your getaway weekend.
