Facilities & Rules: Indoor 8 lane non-turbulent pool.  All races conducted on a 25-meter course.  The length of the competition course is in compliance with and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1, but as a bulkhead course, is subject to length confirmation.  Eligibility of times for USMS Top 10 and records will be contingent on verification of bulkhead placement.  

Warm up lanes will be available in the adjacent course during the meet each day.  Showers and lockers will be available. 
This meet is conducted on the grounds of a school district campus. The CISD asks that all swimmers, coaches, and spectators comply with the facility regulations. 

Parking: Plenty of free parking is available adjacent to the Natatorium

Timing: A Daktronics Omnisport 2000 automatic timing and scoring system with touch pads as the primary timing system will be used during the competition.  Secondary timing system will be semi-automatic with a minimum of 1 button and 1 digital watch per lane.
Hy-Tek’s Meet Manager software will be used to manage and score the meet.  Times from this competition will be eligible for USMS records, World records, and Top 10 consideration.

Rules & Scoring: Current U. S. Masters Swimming Code of Regulations and Rules of Competition will govern this meet. Scoring for individual and relay events shall be in accordance with Rule 103.19.3.

Eligibility: All participants must be registered with U. S. Masters Swimming and must be 18 years old on or before November 12, 2022.  The eligibility of a participant (for seeding purposes) is determined by their age as of December 31, 2022.

Event Time Limit: To qualify for the freestyle distance events, participants must meet the following qualifying times: 1500 meter Freestyle under 45 minutes, 800 meter Freestyle under 25 minutes.

Conduct of Meet: Enter the meet using your best short course meters time or estimate for the event.  The Meet Director may, at his discretion, correct, adjust or insert an entry time for any swimmer; he may also elect to run six (6) lanes for the meet to facilitate swimmers’ rest intervals.  All events will be timed finals.  For all events, including relays, women and men will be seeded together by time only, slowest to fastest.

Positive check-in is required for all 400 meter and longer events as follows:
Event #1 -     800 meter Freestyle      Check-in by 1:30 PM
Event #18 -   400 meter IM                 Check-in before Event #9
Event #19 - 1500 meter Freestyle      Check-in by 8:30 AM
Event #33 -   400 meter Freestyle      Check-in before Event #27

Breaks: There will be a 20 minute officials break after the 200 and 400 meter Women’s/Men’s Medley Relay events. 
            There will be a 15 minute warm-up break after the 800 and 1500 meter events.

Hospitality: Available for Officials, Timers, and Meet Volunteers.

Limit of Events: Each entrant may swim a maximum of 5 individual events and 3 relay events per day.

Deck Entry (for open lanes only) ith current USMS Card, Entry Form, and signed Participant Waiver.  May be paid at the registration desk via cash, credit card, or check (payable to WMST).

Individual Entry Deadlines/Fees:
• Online entries received by midnight November 6           — $60
• Deck entries at the meet by 1:15 PM Saturday                — $70
                                                      8:15 AM Sunday

Relay Entry Deadlines/Fees:
• Relay entries/fees due by 1:30 PM Saturday                    — $15 per relay
                                                  8:30 AM Sunday

Age Groups: 
Individual: 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, etc.
Relays*: 76-99, 100-119, 120-159, 160-199, 200-239, 240-279, 280-319, 320-359, 360-399
*Note: the aggregate age of the four relay team members shall determine the age group

Awards: For individual and relay events 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.3 place ribbons will be awarded.

Special Awards: (presented after Event #29)
• Fastest Man and Fastest Woman of 2022 Awards will be presented based on the fastest time in the 50 meter Freestyle event.
• Pentathlon Award for each swimmer completing all of the following events: 50 Fly, 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Free, and 100 IM. 

T-Shirts (design to be provided later): Meet T-shirts will be available for $15 each. They can be preordered (by size) during the online registration (not refundable) process.  A limited number of shirts will also be available for sale at the meet.
