First Annual Viking Fundraiser SCY Swim Meet:

Location: Busbey Natatorium - Cleveland State University

POOL  The pool is located on the campus of Cleveland State University. The course will be configured in a 10 lane, 25 SCY format with anti-turbulent lane lines and a Colorado 6 automatic timing system and digital readout board. The lanes are 7 feet wide with depths between 12 to 16.5 feet. Other areas of the pool will be available for continuous warm-up and warm-down. The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1.  Times may be submitted for USMS records and USMS Top 10 times.

ELIGIBILITY    U.S. Masters Swimming 2024 rules will govern conduct of the meet.  Swimmers may swim no more than 6 individual events.  Only swimmers entered in the meet can participate in relays.  A “relay only” fee is an available entry option with reduced fee, see below under “ENTRY FEES”.

AGE    Age of Competitors on April 27, 2024 will determine the competitor’s age group. Age groups are: 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-40,….., 80-84, 85-89, etc. For relays age group is determined by the age of the youngest swimmer: 18+, 25+, 35+, 45+, etc in ten year increments. The relays can be composed of 4 women, 4 men, or mixed (exactly 2 men and 2 women). Each relay team must be composed of members of the same USMS club or it will be designated as exhibition only. Unattached members may not compose a relay.

AWARDS    We will have fun awards which will be a surprise! 

RESULTS    Results will be posted during the meet for swimmer review. Final results will be posted  usually within a day or two on SwimPhone and will be available on USMS.org once they have cleared the Top Ten review process.

DEADLINES    Registration must be completed online on ClubAssistant.com. Online entries will close at 11:59 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Deck entries must be in hand at the Admin Desk by 9:30 AM. See additional information on deck entry restrictions in the “Deck Entries” section below. Relay only entries will be available on the day of the meet by Deck Entry for the $25 Fee.

ENTRY FEES   

• Regular Entry Fee is $50.00
• All Deck Entries (see below for deck entry restrictions) are $75.00
• “Relay only” entries can be done online or deck entry. Fee is only $25.00

Online entries are paid by credit card to ClubAssistant.com and your credit card will show a charge by "Burandt Aquatics LLC" for this swim meet.

DECK ENTRIES    All of the meet events will be pre-seeded before the meet to ensure timely functioning of the meet and so that swimmers can verify heat and lane assignments when they arrive at the pool. Deck entries will only be available for an event which has an empty lane as seeded when the swimmer arrives at the pool. Deck entries will be entered as no time entries and must be submitted no later than 9:30 AM. Swimmers should scratch any events they do not intend to swim during check-in upon entering the pool. This will allow deck entrants to use open lanes.

ORDER OF EVENTS

• Note 1.  All Individual Events are Mixed Men and Women Events.
• Note 2.  All relays will be entered by relay card submission to the Admin Desk at least a half-hour before the event. Relays will be Men’s (M), Women’s (W), or Mixed (X) (consisting of exactly 2 men and 2 women) and will be swum at the same time in the same event/heat as indicated in the list of events below.
• Note 3.  A swimmer may enter EITHER the 1650 Free or the 1000 Free, but NOT both.

SEEDING    Heats will be formed by submitted times, regardless of age or sex, and will progress from fastest to slowest and then “No Time”.

ENTRY LIMIT    Each swimmer may enter six individual events for this meet and as many relays as desired.
