Colonies Zone Starts, Turns, and Sprints Weekend

Come prepare for the 2016 Championship Season at the Colonies Zones Starts, Turns, and Sprints weekend hosted by The Montgomery The Ancient Mariners and UMAC Masters. Ancient Mariners will be hosting their annual Albatross Open Swim Meet and Social March 5 in Bethesda, MD. UMAC Coach Wyatt Bradbury will be hosting a Dynamic Strength and Stations Practice, Coaches Roundtable Lunch, and Starts and Turns Clinic on March 6, 2016 comprising a full weekend of swimming fun!

Dryland + Swim Practice
Sunday morning, March 6 will kick off with a full practice hosted by the University of Maryland Aquatic Club. Pratice will start at 10:15am with dryland followed by a 90 minute practice starting at 11:00am. Practice will be strength and speed stations mixing swimmers of all abilities that promises to be a good time! 

Coaches Roundtable Lunch
Join Coach Wyatt Bradbury in a roundtable lunch starting at 12:45pm on March 6, 2016. Share your ideas and learn from your fellow coaches. 

Starts and Turns Clinic
Coach Wyatt Bradbury will lead all athletes in a short discussion on proper starting technique at 2:30pm on March 6. Then we will hit the pool and practice on UMAC's blocks learning how to position and use starting fins. The clinic will conclude with some fun drills improving your turn technique, finishing up at 4:30pm.

Entries
Entries for the swim practice and clinic will be accepted online through Club Assistant until March 5, 2016 11:59 P.M. Entries for the practice and clinic will be accepted on deck the day of the event.

Dryland + Swim Practice $8
Starts and Turns Clinic $30
Certified Coaches may attend the roundtable for free.

Eligibility
All swimmers must be registered with USMS. Deck entrants must bring their USMS card. If you are not registered for USMS you may register online at www.usms.org/reg/
