TOWER 26 offers coached beach swim-training sessions for triathletes and open water swimmers from May through October.
These are professionally instructed swim training and skill building sessions, designed for significant improvements while building open water confidence and open water familiarity.
Participants are sub-grouped by ability and experience for circuit-style training workouts, and then instructed on skill development, training protocols and safety.
No one is left behind.

Days: Every Wednesday. Every Sunday. May through October.
Start Times: 6:00 am on Wednesdays. 7:30 am on Sundays.
Locations: Wednesday: Lifeguard tower 26 boardwalk at Santa Monica beach (approx. 1 mile south of Santa Monica Pier). Sunday: Torrance beach ramp.
Parking: Santa Monica: Beach lot at Barnard Way and Ocean Park Blvd. Torrance: Lot above the beach and street parking.
Requirement: Membership and a check-out swim.
Ability: sub 38 min mile; 24 min for 1,000 yards or minimum 2:30/100 pacing.
Swim cap: After registration, please collect your 2021 beach cap at your first session.
Wetsuits: Encouraged. Required for beginning triathletes.
