USMS Triathlete and Open Water Swim Clinic for Coaches and Athletes - Maryville, IL

USMS and The OZARK/Team Godzilla are hosting a Triathlete and Open Water Swim Clinic for Coaches and Athletes of all abilities. This clinic will be held at a pool with simulated open water conditions . Several of the top area coaches  will be on hand, along with mentor coaches Mel Goldstein and Bill Brenner, to help you improve your technique and teach you drills that will enable you to continue to refine your open water swim performance.

Mentor coaches:  Elizabeth Moore, Mel Goldstein and Bill Brenner 

Elizabeth Moore is a USMS Level 3 certified Masters coach. She is the founder and head coach of the Masters Swimming Program at Spectrum Athletic Clubs South Bay in El Segundo, CA. A former NCAA Division I swimmer and NAIA Division I cross-country and track and field competitor, Elizabeth combined her passions for swimming and running to become a multisport athlete. She races all triathlon distances and has completed three full IRONMAN races where she excels on the swim, exiting the water with top place finishes. Elizabeth also competes and coaches at Masters swim meets and open water races throughout the year.

Mel Goldstein was the 2001 Speedo US Masters Coach of the year, Mel won the 1997 Ransom J. Arthur MD Award that goes annually to a person who best supports the objectives of Masters swimming. It is the highest honor bestowed by United States Masters Swimming. He is a past President of USMS and a USMS All American with 255 Individual Top Ten Achievements. In 2012, he was inducted into the International Masters Swimming Hall of Fame.

Bill Brenner is the Education Director for USMS. He has 30 years coaching experience working with age group, college and Masters swimmers. Bill has served as a support team member for his local Masters club, team representative to the LMSC, an LMSC officer as the Top Ten Recorder, a multi-year delegate to the USAS convention and a member of national committees. He has served as the meet director for multiple events and most recently helped organize the Pan American Masters championship in Sarasota, Fla. A USMS Level 4 certified Masters coach, he enjoys attracting adult athletes to the sport of swimming and coaching all levels of ability.

Swim Clinic: 9:00 am- 12:00 pm

Equipment: Please bring your suit and goggles.

Online registration only. Registration closes at midnight pacific time on November 1, 2014 or when the clinic enrollment reaches 36.

Fee: $40.00

Cancellation Policy:
