USMS Stroke Development and Improvement Clinic for Swimmers - Seattle, WA

USMS and Pacific Northwest LMSC  are hosting a stroke development and improvement clinic for swimmers of all abilities. All four strokes will be evaluated and corrected with the use of drills and coach instruction. Several of the top coaches in Seattle will be on hand, along with mentor coaches Mel Goldstein and Bill Brenner, to help you improve your technique and teach you drills that will enable you to continue to refine your stroke. Swimmers are not required to swim all strokes and may work on only those strokes they choose.

Mentor Coaches: Mel Goldstein, Wendy Neely and Bill Brenner

Mel Goldstein was the 2001 Speedo US Masters Coach of the year, Mel won the 1997 Ransom J. Arthur MD Award that goes annually to a person who best supports the objectives of Masters swimming. It is the highest honor bestowed by United States Masters Swimming. He is a past President of USMS and a USMS All American with 255 Individual Top Ten Achievements. In 2012, he was inducted into the International Masters Swimming Hall of Fame.

Wendy Neely has been coaching swimmers for over 20 years and shares her enthusiasm and passion for swimming through her teaching and mentoring.  Her career includes a number of achievements.  As Head Coach of Blue Wave Aquatics, she was a 2010 recipient of the Kerry O’Brien Coaches Award.  In 2013, Blue Wave Aquatics received Local Club of the Year, and also received a Swimming Saves Lives grant. She is an online coach for beginners with U.S. Masters Swimming and a level 3 certified USMS Masters coach.

Bill Brenner is the Education Director for USMS. He has 30 years coaching experience working with age group, college and Masters swimmers. Bill has served as a support team member for his local Masters club, team representative to the LMSC, an LMSC officer as the Top Ten Recorder, a multi-year delegate to the USAS convention and a member of national committees. He has served as the meet director for multiple events and most recently helped to organize the Pan American Masters championship in Sarasota, Fla. A USMS Level 4 certified Masters coach, he enjoys attracting adult athletes to the sport of swimming and coaching all levels of ability.

Registration: 7:30 AM- 8:00 AM
Swim Clinic: 8:00 AM- 11:00 AM

Equipment: Please bring your suit and goggles. If you have hand paddles, a snorkel and fins, please bring them.

Online Registration:
Online registration only. Registration closes at midnight pacific time October 18, 2014 or when the clinic enrollment reaches 36.

Fee: $40.00

Cancellation Policy:
