USMS Stroke Development and Improvement Clinic for Swimmers - Denver, CO
USMS is hosting a stroke development and improvement clinic for swimmers of all abilities. All four strokes will be included using drills and coach instruction. Mel Goldstein and Bill Brenner will be on hand to help you improve your technique and teach you drills that will enable you to continue to refine your stroke. Swimmers are not required to swim all strokes and may work on only those strokes they choose.
Mentor Coaches
Dave Burgess is highly involved in U.S. Masters, high school, and age group swimming. He is the head coach of the Podium Swim Club, a U.S. Masters Swimming group based in Colorado Springs. Dave caters to swimmers who are looking to improve performance, as well as those that are relatively new to swimming. He is also the head coach of the Discovery Canyon High School swim team, as well as an assistant coach with Colorado Springs Aquatics. He is a USMS Adult Learn To Swim certified lead instructor, a USMS Level 3 Masters coach, a USA Swimming/ASCA Level 3 coach, as well as a USA Triathlon level 2 certified coach. Dave also holds a certificate in sports and performance nutrition.
Bill Brenner is the Education Director for USMS. He has 30+ years coaching experience working with age group, college and Masters swimmers. Bill has served as a support team member for his local Masters club, team representative to the LMSC, an LMSC officer as the Top Ten Recorder, a multi-year delegate to the USAS convention and a member of national committees. He has served as the meet director for multiple events, helped organize the 2013 Pan American Masters championship and hosted the 2014, 2015 and 2016 YMCA Masters national championship in Sarasota, Fla. A USMS Level 4 certified Masters coach, he enjoys attracting adult athletes to the sport of swimming and coaching all levels of ability. On average, Bill presents 25 USMS stroke development clinics per year throught the U.S.

Registration: 8:45 am- 9:00 am
Swim Clinic: 9:00 am- 12:00 pm Please be in your suit & on the on the deck promtly by 9am
Equipment: Please bring your fins, suit, goggles and a towel. Fins are important because without them many of the drills may be difficult. Fins help create buoyancy and mild propulsion. If you have hand paddles, please bring them too.

Online registration only. Registration closes at midnight pacific time on Saturday, March 18, 2017or when the clinic enrollment reaches 36.

Your online registration for this course will be paid by credit card and processed by Club Assistant. Please look for "ClubAssistant.com Events" on your credit card statement.
Fee: $40.00
Clinic registrations are non-refundable and non-transferrable to another individual. If you can provide the USMS national office with a minimum of 72 hours notice before the start of the scheduled clinic time, you may transfer your registration to a clinic at an alternate date and location. Written email notification must be sent to ClubCoachServices@usms.org
