Instructor Certification Adult Learn to Swim
U.S. Masters Swimming is hosting a USMS ALTS instructor certification course on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, in Sarasota, Fla.
Monday, Jan. 23
Check-in: 8-8:30 a.m.
Classroom instruction: 8:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m.
Lunch: 12:30 p.m.*
In-water pool instruction: 2:30-4:30 p.m.
*Lunch will be provided by USMS. Please note that most of the lunches are sandwich-based and do not always include a vegetarian option or recognize dietary restrictions and food allergies. If you have food restrictions, please feel free to bring along something that will accommodate your needs.

Instructor
Megan Lassen is a certified Lead ALTS Instructor and Level 3 USMS Masters coach at Swim Ft. Lauderdale. She teaches swim lessons to adults and special-needs clients as part of her daily work at the International Swimming Hall of Fame pool. Her interests and expertise span all sorts of water sports and adventures, from competitive swimming (she holds more than 35 individual USMS top-10 awards), to river rescue and water skiing. Megan has coached swimming since 2008 and started Masters programs in Michigan and Wisconsin prior to arriving in Florida.
ALTS Prerequisites
You must be a current USMS member to participate in the course and receive USMS ALTS Instructor certification. You must be able to perform the following water-competency skills:
