U.S. Masters Swimming is hosting a USMS Stroke Develoment Clinic Course for Coaches on Saturday and Sunday, May 13 & 14, 2017 in Portland, OR

The USMS Stroke Development Clinic Course, offered by USMS Education Services, instructs the Masters coach how to conceptualize, organize and deliver a stroke development clinic (SDC).  The course consists of both a classroom and on-deck component.  The registration for the clinic course is limited to 12 coaches per class. Instructors: Mike Hamm and  Bill Brenner

Mike Hamm is a USMS ALTS certified lead instructor and USMS certified level 3 Masters coach. He has coached swimming for 46 years, including 21 at the Masters level. He is currently the head Masters coach at the Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He also owns the Hamm Swim School in Coeur d’Alene, where they specialize in individual instruction for all levels of swimmers. He is an Olympic Trials qualifier, USA All-American and USMS All-American, and he set several NCAA Div. II national records while in college.

Bill Brenner is the Education Director for USMS. He has 30+ years coaching experience working with age group, college and Masters swimmers. Bill has served as a support team member for his local Masters club, team representative to the LMSC, an LMSC officer as the Top Ten Recorder, a multi-year delegate to the USAS convention and a member of national committees. He has served as the meet director for multiple events, helped organize the 2013 Pan American Masters championship and hosted the 2014, 2015 and 2016 YMCA Masters national championship in Sarasota, Fla. A USMS Level 4 certified Masters coach, he enjoys attracting adult athletes to the sport of swimming and coaching all levels of ability.  On average, Bill presents 25 USMS stroke development clinics per year throughout the U.S.

Prerequisites
You must be a Masters coach who has successfully completed Level 1, or higher, of the USMS Masters coach certification. Current USMS membership is also required.

Fees
$50.00 per coach. USMS designated Masters coaches receive a $10.00 discount during the online registration process.

Maximum
Maximum attendance is 12 coaches.

Who should attend?
Certified Masters coaches who want to develop the skills and resources necessary to host a successful stroke development clinic.

Online registration only. Registration closes at midnight Pacific time on Friday, May 12, 2017 or when the course enrollment reaches 12.

Cancellation Policy

Clinic course registrations are non-refundable and non-transferrable to another individual. If you can provide the USMS national office with a minimum of 72 hours notice before the start of the scheduled clinic course, you may transfer your registration to a clinic course at an alternate date and location. Written email notification must be sent to Marianne Groenings: mgroenings@usmastersswimming.org.
