Instructor Certification Adult Learn to Swim
U.S. Masters Swimming is hosting a USMS ALTS instructor certification course on Saturday, November 20, 2021 in the Minneapolis area.

Check-in: 7:30 - 8:00 a.m.
Classroom instruction: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Lunch: 12:00 p.m.*
In-water pool instruction: 1-3 p.m.
*Due to COVID concerns, attendees will be responsible for their own lunch, water, snacks.

Instructor
Mike Hamm is a USMS ALTS certified instructor and Level 4 certified U.S. Masters coach. He has coached swimming for 46 years, includes 21 at the Masters level. He is currently the head Masters coach at the Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He also owns the Hamm Swim School in Coeur d’Alene, where they specialize in individual instruction for all levels of swimmers. He is an Olympic Trials qualifier, USA All-American and USMS All-American, and he set several NCAA Div. II national records while in college.
ALTS Prerequisites
You must be a current USMS member to participate in the course and receive USMS ALTS Instructor certification. You must be able to perform the following five water-competency skills:
