Kroc Masters Swimming Clinic - Officiating

Instructor: Teri White has over 25 years of Officiating experience. She has officiated at the highest levels in our sport including the Olympic Trials, US Open, USA Nationals, NCAA Nationals and USMS Nationals. This lady HAS game! She is coming to Coeur d’Alene from western Washington to share her knowledge and experience with you.

Who: Anyone over 18. All swimmers and swim supporters are welcome to attend. Students don’t even have to be USMS registered. We are inviting you and asking you to invite your teammates, spouse, offspring, friends, even your ex-spouse to join you.

What: Clinic to train and certify officials. Take one or all three sessions.

Session #1 -- Masters Swimming Stroke & Turn Official: Learn the rules for strokes and turns; the key things officials monitor at swim events; and, how disqualifications are handled.
Session #2 -- Masters Starter: Learn the rules about starts. This is your chance to learn how to give the commands and sound the horn to send swimmers off the blocks.
Session #3 -- An opportunity to apply the skills you have learned in a short live meet.

When:
Session #1: Masters Swimming Stroke & Turn Official Sat 10/20/18 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Session #2: Masters Starter Sun 10/21/18 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Session #3: Live meet Sun 10/21/18 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon

Where: The Salvation Army Kroc Center, 1765 W. Golf Course Road, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho 83815

1) This is a great opportunity to become a more knowledgeable swimmer and to learn a new skill.
2) This is an opportunity to learn how to give back to your local swim community by becoming a certified swim official.

The clinic is being hosted by Kroc Masters. If you want to save a few bucks on lodging, we have friendly host families for you. We are also going to have a social after the Saturday evening session and before the Sunday morning session. So, you can have some fun while you are processing the info. Let us know when you sign-up if you need lodging.
