Summer Competitive 10U Practices-2023

Participants are NOT required to register with USA Water Polo for this summer program UNLESS selected to the Junior Olympic Team(s).

Prior experience with American River WPC is not required, though some water polo experience is recommended. Good swimming ability is a must. Athletes that are unsure if they will be able to keep up or if they will enjoy this level of water polo are encouraged to register and attend the first practice. This program is intended to provide a higher level of structure and competition than our Youth League and prepare athletes to play on the 12U and older competitive club teams.

Tuesday/Thursday 7:30-8:45pm & Sundays 2:00-4:00pm at Rio Del Oro

June 13-July 15
Mondays -5:30-7:00pm at Jesuit HS
Wednesdays- 5:30-7:00pm at Rio Americano HS

All 10U participants are invited to Friday Youth League Game Days (June 30, July 7th and 14th) at Rio Americano.  Times TBD(after 5:30pm).  We will also try to schedule some scrimmages with other local clubs and/or within our ARWPC 10U group.

Practices are meant to increase water polo knowledge in a fun environment.  With more regular practices with like minded athletes we hope to establish a good foundation and love of the sport for our athletes to grow from.

Junior Olympic's team (or teams) will be selected by coaching staff by May 20th.  All athletes must be registered with our 10U team to be considered.  Junior Olympic team members must be USWP Gold members and their is an extra JO trip fee to cover the entry fee and coaches costs for the players competing at the Junior Olympics.

• Those committed to travel for Junior Olympics will be invited to extra practices Tues/Thurs 5:30-7:00 with the 12U boys and/or 12U girls
• June 10-11 Junior Olympic regional qualification- in the Sacramento area
• July 20-23 Junior Olympic Tournament in the Irvine, CA area

No refunds after May 24th. Payment plans are available upon request but arrangement of a payment does not imply a reduction in the program fee. Scholarships are available in limited circumstances. Any payment arrangements must be requested in writing or via email to Julie at registrar@arwpc.com
