Please join your fellow Pacific Masters members for the 2020 Annual Celebration and Meeting. This year the event will be virtual and held over two Sunday afternoons in November, the 8th and the 15th.
Since we missed the Olympics this year, our November 8th session will revisit the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, rooted in controversy and demonstrating the courage, strength, and resilience of our U.S. team, especially the women. USA Swimming has given us the opportunity to share the 90 minute feature film “The Last Gold” . We will follow it up with a panel, moderated by Rowdy Gaines, composed of the swimmers on that remarkable swim team along with Brian T. Brown, the director of the film, who considers it his favorite and most important work.
Our November 15th session will feature our own production video “A Strange Year” created by our members and put together by Rich Burns, the Annual Meeting and Service Awards, a presentation by Alameda Aquatics’ Bonnie Tsui on her popular book “Why We Swim”, and many prizes for clubs and individuals.
