Las Vegas Masters Swim Team and Sin City Shootout are pleased to work together for an excellent adult swim competition in Fabulous Las Vegas!

Aquatic Facility:

• Las Vegas Municipal Pool at 431 E Bonanza Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89101. Near the Fremont Street district.
• 25 yard indoor course, 8 competition lanes, 2 lanes available for warmup/warm down throughout the meet.
• Large, clean locker rooms with showers and lockers (bring your own lock).
• Free parking.
• The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 107.2.1.

Eligibility and Age: Swimmers must be USMS members registered for 2017 OR a current member of a FINA organization OR must pay a One-Event Membership fee of $18*. United States Masters Swimming rules will govern.  Current SPMS meet procedures will be enforced and take precedence over any errors or omissions on this form.  The meet referee will be in charge of the meet.  Any questions regarding the conduct of the meet should be directed to meet referee.  All events are timed final. Swimmers are limited to a total of 5 individual events, not including relays. Age on January 14, 2017 determines age group for the meet. You must be at least 18 to compete.  

*Per rule 201.1.3.B, One-event registrants (non-members of USMS) must be considered unattached and agree to be governed by the rules and regulations of USMS, except that their times shall not be considered for Top 10 tabulation and national or world records, All-American status, or any other USMS special awards. One-event registrants shall be identified as such in the meet results.

Rules:

• 2017 United States Masters Swimming rules will govern. Current SPMS meet procedures will be enforced and take precedence over any errors or omissions on this form. The meet referee will be in charge of the meet. Any questions regarding the conduct of the meet should be directed to that person.
• Swimmers must be 2017 USMS registered members or pay the One-Event Membership fee of $18 for insurance coverage.
• Maximum of 5 individual events and 2 relays per swimmer.  If the meet timeline is deemed too long, the meet directors will change to a max of 4 individual events per swimmer.
• Enter short course yards times for seeding purposes.
• All Events are timed final.

Sanction: This meet is sanctioned by Southern Pacific Masters Swimming for USMS, Inc. 

Seeding: Swimmers will be seeded in heats according to entry time, regardless of age and gender. Heats will be ordered slowest to fastest. Please use SwimPhone Online Check-In for all events, marking yourself “checked in” or “scratched” so that we may run a very efficient meet. Positive Check-In for the 500 Free closes at 10:30am.

Entry Deadline: Online meet entry closes at 11:59pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2017.
For mailed entries, the postmark deadline is January 7, 2017.

Deck Entries: Deck entries close at 10:30am for events 1-6, and at 12pm for events 7-18.  Deck entries will be processed “paperless and cashless” on a computer at the pool. Bring your credit card for payment of deck entries.

Entry Fees - Three options:

1. $35 entry fee for swim meet only... or
2. $50 entry fee includes Sin City Shootout tournament wristband/entertainment package*... or
3. $50 entry fee includes donation to LVM scholarship fund

All fees are paid by credit card to "ClubAssistant.com Events" - this is the name you will see on your credit card statement.

*Sin City Shootout is an LGBT multi-sport event with several evening events. Click HERE to see the parties and events.  
Your $50 swim entry fee gets you VIP entry into clubs (skip the line!), no cover charge at clubs, 20% off participating restaurant bills, discounted cocktails in your extra large red mug, free shuttles to clubs, raffles, and a chance to win a new car!  Go to the Official Registration Party Friday, Jan 13 from 4pm to 9pm at Tropicana Hotel Sin City Ballroom with your driver's license. Check in with the swimming table to collect your tournament wristband. Or collect your tournament wristband at the swim meet on Saturday. For guests not competing in sports, the tournament wristband may be purchased for $10 a la carte at the Friday Official Registration Party (not available at the swim meet - guests must purchase at the Fri evening event). Relays: All relays will be deck entered. Relay Team entries are free ($0). For each relay swimmer who is not entered in individual events, a fee of $10.00 and a signed liability release must be submitted with the relay entry.

Awards: Heat winner prizes.  SPMS ribbons for individual places 1 to 3.  SPMS ribbons for relay first place.

Entertainment during the Swim Meet:
Music, Elvis, Beer Pong, and ... some other surprises.
ALL SWIMMERS and ALL TIMERS are encouraged to wear COSTUMES, even if this means a "swim costume" (i.e. wild sparkly swimsuit with silly swim cap)

A Synchronized Swimming Demonstration and Clinic to follow the swim meet:
Have you ever wanted to learn how to do Synchronized Swimming? How do they hold their breath so long while upside down? How do they launch each other so high out of the pool? How do they do it all while smiling?
During the swim meet online entry, you'll have the option to contribute $10 to the "Nevada Desert Mermaids", a Las Vegas based Synchronized Swimming team, school, and camp. "Nevada Desert Mermaids" performers and teachers will show us some Synchro moves and will teach willing participants a short routine during the clinic. Please pay $10 to watch or participate or donate.

Sin City Shootout - the largest annual LGBT Sporting Event in the world: For those participating in the other sports of Sin City Shootout or the other social events, more info can be found at www.sincityshootout.com.
