2018 Ozark LMSC SC Yards Championship
Sponsored by St. Louis Area Masters Swimming, Inc. (SLAM) - Sanctioned by Ozark LMSC for USMS, Inc.
April 7 and April 8, 2018

Location: Marquette High School, 2351 Clarkson Rd, Chesterfield, MO 63017-7122
The pool is 25 yards with 8 lanes equipped with non-turbulent lane lines; six lanes will be used for competition; one lane will be available for warm-up/down. The primary timing system will be automatic timing (Colorado Timing System). Times may be submitted for USMS records and USMS Top 10 consideration. The length of the competition course with-out a bulkhead is in compliance and is on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 107.2.1.

Ozark LMSC Membership Meeting: A brief meeting of the Ozark LMSC general membership will be held during the second break on Saturday. All Ozark LMSC members are urged to be attentive at this time and vote on the important issues to be decided at this meeting, such as 2019 Ozark LMSC membership fee.  The agenda is available at www.ozarkLMSC.org.

SLAM Membership Meeting: A brief meeting of the SLAM general membership will be held during the second break on Sunday. All SLAM members are urged to be attentive at this time and vote on the important issues, such as election of officers and the 2019 SLAM membership fees. The agenda is available at www.swimSLAM.org.

Eligibility: Persons eighteen (18) years of age and older and all levels of swimming ability are welcome. Age is determined by swimmer’s age on April 8, 2018. Participants must be 2018 USMS members; please apply online prior to the meet at http://www.usms.org/reg/ (meet registrations are accepted). We are in the Ozark LMSC. One Event USMS registration (OEVT) of $20 is also available at the meet, but OEVT membership is good only for this meet and does not qualify you to swim relays or to represent a club. Meet entry fees are in addition to the $20 OEVT fee. OEVT member times are not recognized for records or Top Ten consideration, nor are they submitted to the USMS times database.

Conduct: 2018 USMS rules govern the meet conduct. Individual event limit is 5 per day, 10 per meet (excluding relays). ALL Events are timed finals with mixed gender heats and will be seeded slowest to fastest.

Relays: Fully completed relay entry cards will be accepted at the timing console table per deadline; all relays are deck seeded. Blank relay cards will be available at the check-in table & by download via  www.ozarklmsc.org. Unattached swimmers cannot swim on relays. Relay teams may be single gender or mixed (two females and two males). Events 2,13, 18, 23 and 28 are Mixed relays only; events 3, 8, 14, 17 and 27 are Men's or Women's relays only; individuals may swim for only one relay team in each type of relay. Relay age groups are: 18+, 25+, 35+, 45+, etc, and are determined by the youngest swimmer’s age.

Fees:  Swimmers participating only in relays must submit a signed entry form & pay the appropriate fee. No email entry.
$30 One Day; $40 Two Days – ONLINE: Club Assistant by 11:59pm Thursday, April 5. Credit card charged by ClubAssistant.com Events.
$35 One Day; $50 Two Days – MAIL; Entry, Signed USMS Participant Waiver & Check to: St. Louis Area Masters Swimming Inc.
*Deck Entry: Have proof of 2018 USMS membership or be prepared to pay for USMS registration.

 Relay Entry deadline for Saturday, April 7 Events: 2 & 3 is 1:30pm and 8, 13 & 14 is 2:30 pm
 Relay Entry deadline for Sunday, April 8 Events: 17 & 18 is 9:00am and 23, 27 & 28 is 10:00am
 Deck Entry for Event #16 (1650Y) accepted only if no new heats are required
     No extra rest provided between Event #15 (1000Y) & #16 (1650Y) & these events require positive check-in
No Deck Entry allowed for Event #1 (500Y) and #15 (1000Y) & these events require positive check-in.

2018 Breadbasket Zone Virtual Meet: Results from the 2018 Ozark LMSC SCY Championship meet will be entered into a "Breadbasket Zone Virtual Meet" results-file that combines results from the State or Championship meets from LMSCs in the Breadbasket Zone. (*Pending)

Driving Directions: 
From Interstate 64, going east or west, take Exit 19 B south onto Clarkson Rd (MO-340).
Drive about 2.5 miles south on Clarkson Rd. Marquette High School is on the right (west). The pool is located in the north wing.

Social: Meet-up with other swimmers; Saturday, April 7 at 5:00 pm after the meet session at The Cheesecake Factory.
