The 2020 Inland NW Masters Championships & Jean Rudolph Memorial Swim Meet has been CANCELLED (as of Wednesday, March 18) as the University of Idaho Swim Center is closing for a period of 8 weeks in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. We hope to reschedule once we have a better idea of when the swim center will be available to us. Meanwhile full refunds will be issued by Tuesday, March 24th to those who signed up.

The annual general meeting of the Inland NW Local Masters Swimming Committee will also be rescheduled and meeting minutes from the 2019 meeting will be distributed to the membership via email and the Board of Managers will approve the minutes.

(CANCELLED) Date/Time: Saturday,  March 28, 2020 - warm-up starts at 11:00am; meet starts at 12:00pm.

Facility: University of Idaho Swim Center (1040 Rayburn St., Moscow, ID) is an indoor pool with eight 25 yard competition lanes and separate  four-lane pool for continuous warm-up/-down. Locker rooms adjacent to pool. Spectator balcony. Snacks/drinks for swimmers and volunteers provided. The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 107.2.1.

Directions:1a. From ID Hwy 95 come into Moscow & head west on Sixth St. toward the Univ of Idaho campus. 1b. From Pullman on WA270/ID8 turn right at 2nd signal onto Perimeter Rd. then left onto Sixth St. 2. Turn south on Rayburn St. and continue to parking lot #39 opposite the Kibbie Dome east side. Enter Memorial Gym and follow signs to the Swim Center. Additional parking on Rayburn St. Obey all parking signs.

Eligibility: All swimmers must be currently registered USMS swimmers or foreign equivalent. New members can register online: www.usms.org/reg.

Rules: 2020 USMS rules will apply. Available at www.usms.org/rules/  and at the meet. Certified stroke and turn judges will be present. 

Deadlines: Online entries only must be complete by Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at 11:59pm PDT. Relay-Only participants may enter as late as Friday, March 27, 2020 as relays are deck-seeded. Contact the meet director prior to the deadline if you are not able to enter online and need an alternative method.

Fees: $30 for entries. Online entries will be charged to a credit card. The charge on your card will be from "ClubAssistant.com Events" for this meet. 

Conduct of the meet: Short course yards events will be seeded slowest to fastest. Participants may swim no more than six individual events, plus four relay events. Swimmers may enter as "relay-only" participants (see "Deadlines" above.) The 1650 Free will be limited to the first 16 entrants. There will be 3 breaks during the course of the meet.

Relays: Submit relay cards to the clerk of course during each day’s warm-ups for deck seeding. Individuals must be affiliated in the U.S. Masters Swimming membership database with the club/workout group they represent to have their relay points count for that club/workout group.
*The entries for Mixed Relays, Women’s Relays and Men’s Relays will be swum in combined heats, so that a swimmer may swim only once in that distance/style.

Awards: First-Third place ribbons will be available at the Clerk of Course table for self-service.

The Inland NW LMSC Annual Membership Meeting will be held during the swim meet. The Model Master and Volunteer of the Year awards will be given at that meeting. Send nominations to IWChair@usms.org.
 
Accommodations: H.O.S.T. (House Our Swimmers Tonight): Moscow Chinooks are happy to house you for the night. Contact the Meet Director with your needs. Nearby hotels are the Idaho Inn, Motel 6, Super 8 Moscow, Fairfield Inn, La Quinta and the Best Western University Inn. RV spaces at the Latah County Fairgrounds

This meet commemorates longtime Chinook and Masters swimmer Jean Rudolph who competed in this meet almost every year for the past 15 years. She passed away in December 2018 at age 97.

Relays are deck-seeded at the meet. Relay-only participants may complete online entry as late as Friday, March 27.

This meet caps the Short Course Yards season in the Inland Northwest. No qualifying times needed.
