Meet Location:  Greenville County Aquatic Complex (Westside), 2700 W. Blue Ridge Dr., Greenville, SC 29611

Host:  Greenville Splash Masters & Greenville County Parks, Recreation & Tourism.

Sanction:  Sanctioned by South Carolina LMSC for USMS, Inc., Sanction # 558-S002

Facility:  Greenville County Aquatic Complex is an indoor/outdoor climate controlled facility with an 8 lane 50 Meter competition pool and separated adjacent 5 lane, 25 yard warm-up/warm down pool.  The competition pool’s depth is 7 feet deep at both ends, and has a fully automatic Colorado Timing System with backup and an 8-line scoreboard.  Bleacher seating is available.  Swimmers may bring chairs.

Rules:  The meet will be conducted according to 2018 USMS rules.  The length of the competition course is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 107.2.1, but as a bulkhead course, is subject to length confirmation.  Eligibility of times for USMS top 10 and records will be contingent on verification of bulkhead placement.  The pool will be measured as required by USMS.

Eligibility:  This meet is open to all USMS swimmers registered for 2018.  Age determined as of the last day of 2018.

Fees:  Online entry fees are paid by credit card to ClubAssistant.com.  Entry fee is $50.00 on or before June 1st and includes a t-shirt.  Entry fee is $60.00 between June 2nd  and June 11th, and no t-shirt.  Last day to register online is Monday, June 11th at 11:59 pm.  Deck entries will be left to the discretion of the meet director, with no new additional heats created.

Entries:  Swimmers are allowed a maximum of four (4) individual events per day.  Acceptable seed times are long course meter times or NT.  The 1500 Free is limited to the first 24 entrants  There is no limit for the 800 Free.

Entry Deadline:  Monday, June 11th at 11:59 pm EST.

Relays:  Relays can be submitted on deck at the beginning of warm-ups or emailed prior to the meet to the meet director at Greenvillesplash@gmail.com .

Psych Sheet:  Available Wednesday afternoon, June 13th.

Time of the Meet:
Saturday morning session:  Warm-up 8:00 am, Meet starts at 9:00 am
Saturday afternoon session:  Warm-up 11:00 am, Meet starts at 12:00 pm
Sunday session:  Warm-up 8:00 am, Meet starts at 9:00 am

Meet format:  Swimmers entered in the 400 Free, 800 Free, and 1500 Free will need to provide their own counter if they desire one.  The 1500 Free is limited to the first 24 entrants.  There is no limit to 800 Free entries.  Meet management reserves the right to adjust warm-up and meet start times.  Participants will be notified of any changes to the timeline. 

Awards:  High point award to each age group; must swim a minimum of five (5) events to qualify.  Team awards will be awarded to the top 3 teams overall.  Scoring to 8 places.

Seeding:  All events will be seeded and swum from slowest to fastest using submitted long course meter times, except the for the 1500 Free, 800 Free, 400 Free, and 400 IM which will be seeded and swum fastest to slowest.  Ages and sexes will be combined for competition but separated for awards.  No Time (NT) entries will be seeded in the first heat(s).  1500 Free, 800 Free, 400 Free, and 400 IM will be deck seeded, all other events will be pre-seeded prior the start of the meet.  The 1500 Free is limited to the first 24 entrants.

Check-In:  Check-in is required for the 1500 Free, 800 Free, 400 Free, and 400 IM.  Check in for the 1500 will close Saturday morning at 8:45 am.  Check in for the 800 Free will close Sunday at 11:00 am.  Check in for the 400 Free and 400 IM will close 30 minutes before the start of those events.  Swimmers who do not check in will be scratched.

T-Shirts:  Championship t-shirts will be given to all participants who enter by June 1st.

Saturday Social:  Enjoy meeting new swim friends from all over.  Join us Saturday evening for a night full of Greenville Splash fun.  Information will be available at the meet.

Sunday Morning:  HAPPY FATHERS’ DAY!  Donuts for Dads.

Hospitality:  Hospitality for coaches & officials will be available in the Hospitality Room.

Officials:  Individuals wishing to officiate at this meet should contact Amy Browing, email agbrowning1@bellsouth.net . Officials will meet one hour prior to the start of competition.

Timers:  Individuals who are available to help time please contact John Decker, email jdecker30342@yahoo.com .  Letters of service hours can be provided for those who desire verification.

Warm-up Procedures:  NO pull-buoys, kick boards, fins, and hand paddles are allowed in the competition pool or warm-up pool.  Swimmers must enter the pool feet first in a cautious and controlled manner.  Diving shall be permitted only in designated lanes and at designated times.

Directions: 

From I-385 go north into Greenville, Go through town past the BI-LO Center and by the Library.  Take SC-183 towards Pickens.  At SC-253 turn Left onto Blue Ridge Dr.  The Aquatic Center is in Westside Park on the right.

From I-85 take exit 44 White Horse Rd. (US-25 By-Pass).  Go north on US-25 for approximately five miles.  Turn right on SC-253.  The Aquatic Center is in Westside Park on the left.

If coming down I-26 from the northwest, exit onto US-25 towards Greenville.  After Travelers Rest, take US-25 By-Pass (to Atlanta).  Pass by Furman University.  Turn left on SC-253.  The Aquatic Center is in Westside Park.
