Rules: 2017 USMS rules apply. Limit of five (5) individual events per day (not including 25’s). Your age determining date: For short course yards,the eligibility of a participant for a particular age group shall be determined by the age as of the last day of the meet (2/12/17) in accordance with article 102.2.1

Facility: 8 or 10 lane x 25 SCY outdoor pool with 8 SCY lanes available for continuous warm up and warm down. The length of the competition course is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.17 and 107.21, but as a bulkhead course, is subject to length confirmation. Eligibility of times for USMS Top 10 and records will be contingent on verification of bulkhead placement.

Time: Warm up from 8:00am-8:45am. Meet starts at 9:00am. There will be a short 15 minute break at the conclusion of the 1650yd freestyle on Saturday and the 500yd freestyle on Sunday with the next events not starting before 10:00am.

Eligibility: Open to all registered Masters swimmers holding a valid 2017 USMS card. Online USMS registration is available at www.usms.org

Entry Fees: $25.00 for Saturday or Sunday, $40 for both days (includes Event Tee Shirt)

Entries: Swimmers may enter up to 5 individual events per day (not including 25’s). The 1650yd freestyle will be limited to the first 24 women and 24 men entries received (3 heats women, 3 heats men), 400 IMyd & 500yd freestyle will be limited to the first 32 women and 32 men entries received (4 heats women, 4 heats men). Heats may be combined based on timeline. Note that swimmers must provide their own counters; timers will be provided!

Entries submitted by surface mail will be accepted if postmarked by 2/1/17. Online entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM on 2/6/17. NO REFUNDS of entry fees.

• Enter online and receive immediate confirmation of entry via email. Bring the billing information email to the meet as proof of entry. Online entry requires payment by credit card using secure site. IF ENTERING ONLINE, your credit card will be charged by “Club Assistant.com Events”.

Mailed Individual Entries: If you are using a paper entry and mailing payment, cost is $50 for up to 10 events (not including 25yd events). Make your check payable to Mesa Aquatics Club and mail along with a copy of your 2017 USMS registration card and your consolidated entry form.

Matt Grevers Clinic: Anyone age 15 and older can attend: Saturday’s focus will be on long axis (freestyle/backstroke) technique and race strategy. Sunday will focus on starts and turns along with race strategy. Cost is $40.00 per clinic or $70.00 for both. Check-in: Positive check-in required for Event #1 1650yd Freestyle, Event #12 400 IM and Event #13 500yd Freestyle by 8:45am day of event.Entry closure will be announced. All other events will be pre-seeded by time slowest to fastest, mixed gender. The 1650yd freestyle will be limited to the first 24 entries received and the 400yd IM & 500yd Freestyle will be limited to the first 32 entries received. Heats may be combined based on timeline. Scratches: No scratch penalty

Heat Sheets: Will be posted at the pool OR available for purchase for $2.00 at the Admin table.

Results: Will be posted and also available on Meet Mobile.

Awards: High Point awards will be given to top male and female swimmer in each age group

Relays: No charge for relays and they do not count toward a swimmers maximum number of events. Relay cards for event #2 200yd Freestyle Relay and #8 400yd Medley Relay due by 8:45am Relay cards for event #19 200yd Medley and #25 400yd Freestyle Relay due by 9:00am Sunday.
