2019 EMU Coldest Masters SCY Swim Meet

This meet will be swum as Short Course yards (SCY). The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 107.2.1. The primary timing system will be automated with sound device at the start and swimmer touching the pad at the finish with the time recorded on a scoreboard. Official times from this automated timing system will be submitted for USMS Records and USMS Top Ten times for all courses. For Short/Long Course Meters the time will be submitted to FINA for Masters FINA Top Ten and Masters FINA World Records.

Eligibility: Only swimmers who have a current USMS 2019 registration will be allowed to complete. 
Registration is available online at http://www.usms.org/reg.

Entries: Online entries are $30; online entry deadline is Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:59 AM. Deck entries on the morning of the meet will be $45.

Warm-up will begin at 8AM, the meet will begin at 9AM.  Enter the pool feet first; no diving is allowed during warm-up except in the designated "diving" lane.

Only two heats (the first 20 entries) of the 1000 yd Freestyle will be swum.  No deck entries will be accepted for the 1000 yd Freestyle.

Location: Jones Natatorium at Eastern Michigan University, which is loacted in Athletic Campus.

Parking: Parking is available for (long term/all day or short term) at different lots near the Jones Natatorium at a rate of $1.50/hour. Check the the Michigan Masters website for the details on the different lots. 

Directions to Jones Natatorium at EMU:
It is easiest to approach EMU from US 23. Take exit 37-A, Washtenaw Ave, towards Ypsilanti. Take Washtenaw Avenue up to Oakwood Street (warning – there may not be a street sign at Oakwood – but this is the first entrance to Eastern Michigan University – if you pass by the distinctive water tower on your right – you have gone too far). The entrance to the parking deck is located off the fourth drive to your right off of Oakwood. You can park in the parking deck on Saturday and Sunday. On Friday you cannot park in the Parking deck, but you may find parking at any of the “guest” lots or parking meters highlighted on the map above.

The pool is located beside and a little below the Bowen Field House – down the hill if you walk up West Circle Dr. – It is not located on a main street on campus so you will have to walk a little bit no matter where you park.
