Instructors: Chad Durieux and Mel Goldstein
Chad Durieux is the head Masters coach of Rose Bowl Aquatics in Pasadena, CA., a title he has held for 7 years. Chad has over 10 years experience coaching Masters, and 10 years with age group teams in Canada and at the RBAC. He is the 2011 USMS Coach of the year and the 2010 SPMS Coach of the year. Chad is a USMS level 4 certified Masters coach and CSCTA (Canadian Swim Coaches and Teachers Association) Level 3 tech/theory certified.
Mel Goldstein was the 2001 Speedo US Masters Coach of the year, Mel won the 1997 Ransom J. Arthur MD Award that goes annually to a person who best supports the objectives of Masters swimming. It is the highest honor bestowed by United States Masters Swimming. He is a past President of USMS and a USMS All American with 255 Individual Top Ten Achievements. In 2012, he was inducted into the International Masters Swimming Hall of Fame.
Requirements
Coach certification registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable to another individual. However, If you can provide the USMS national office with a minimum of 72 hours notice before the start of the scheduled course, you may transfer your registration to a course at an alternate date and location. Written email notification must be sent to clubandcoach@usmastersswimming.org
