Competition

Sanction: Held under the sanction of U.S. Masters Swimming and the Local Masters Swim Committee of Arizona, sanction #480-0020.
Facility: Competition will be held at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center at Arizona State University located at College and 6th Street in Tempe. The facility is an outdoor 25-meter, 8 lane pool operated at 80 F with non-turbulent lane lines and electronic timing. There will be separate lanes available for warm-up and loosen-down during the actual meet.
Parking: Spaces are available during the meet at no charge in Parking Structure 5, which is adjacent to the aquatic complex.
Eligibility: Open to all registered Masters Swimmers holding a valid 2010 USMS Card. For further information on registration, contact the AZLMSC Registrar, Katy James at katyjamesswims@gmail.com. Swimmers will be required to show proof of registration the day of the meet and sign a waiver.
Rules: 2010 USMS rules apply. All events are timed finals. There is a limit of four(4) individual events per day plus relays. Your age as of December 31, 2010 determines your age group for the meet.
Entries/ Fees: Entries must be received by November 15. 2010. Late entries will not be accepted. There is a $35.00 fee for the meet IF YOU ENTER ONLINE. Please go to SunDevilMasters.com for instructions on how to enter. Swimmers are encouraged to enter online. This covers all events that a swimmer wishes to enter (no more than per day). Swimmers may still choose to mail their entry for a fee of $45.00. Please use the new Arizona Consolidated entry card for this method. Fill it out completely and be sure to enter seed times for all the events that you wish to swim. You must also send a copy of your USMS registration card. There will be no deck entries. Make checks out to Sun Devil Masters Swimming. Mail your entry card, check and photocopy of your USMS Card to:

Seeding: All events will be pre-seeded (women & men swim together) by time, slowest to fastest.
Long Distance Events: Due to time constraints, events 800 meters and over will be limited to a maximum of 24 swimmers. This will be done on a first come first serve basis. If you register after the event is closed, we will attempt to notify you in advance. Swimmers must check in 1/2 hour before the start of the event and bring their own lap counter.
Scoring: Top eight places within each age group and sex will score points: 9-7-6-5--3-2-1.
Awards: Individual high points awards will be given for the meet. All swimmers will receive a complimentary T-shirt for participating in the meet.
Results: During the meet, results will be posted. At the conclusion of the meet, results will be listed at www.azlmsc.org and at www.sundevilmasters.com.
Relays: Relay entries will be due to the meet director as follows:
Saturday's relays: 400 medleys due by the end of the 800 free heats, Event 1; 200 free relays due by the end of the 400 IM heats, Event 9.
Sunday's relays: 400 free relays due by the end of the 1500 free heats, Event 16; 200 medley relays due by the end of the 400 free heats, Event 23.
Social: Following the Saturday session, swimmers are invited to a social event to be announced. Directions will be available at the meet.

Saturday's Events: 1. 800 free, 2. 50 breast, 3. 100 fly, 4. 200 free, 5. 50 back, 6,7,8. 400 free relays, 9. 400 IM, 10. 100 breast, 11. 200 fly, 12. 50 free, 13,14,15. 200 medey relays.
Warm-up starts at 12:00 pm, Event 1 starts at 1:00 PM.
Sunday's Events: 16. 1500 free, 17. 100 IM, 18. 200 back, 19. 50 fly, 20,21,22. 400 medley relays, 23. 400 free, 24. 200 breast, 25. 100 back, 26. 200 IM, 27. 100 free, 28,29,30. 200 free relays
