2022 Binghamton University Masters Swim Meet

Description

Meet Check-in: All swimmers must check-in at the table by the pool entrance and positive check-in is required for the 1000 (by 8:30 am) and 500 freestyle (by the start of the 400 IM). Relays will be deck-seeded and must be entered by the start of the 200 Freestyle for the 200 Medley Relay and by the start of the 400 IM for the 200 Freestyle Relay. Men's and Women's heats will be combined for all events.

Time: Warm-up for the 1000 Free will start at 8AM. The 1000 Free will start at 9 AM. 
A second warm-up will start upon completion of the 1000 Free for a minimum of a half hour. The diving well will be open for continuous warm-up/cool down during the meet.

Event #2 (200 Free) will not start before 10:30AM to allow for later arrivals. 

There will be a 15 min break after event #8 (200 Medley Relay) where the pool will be open for warm-up. 
There will be another 10 min break after event #15 (200 Breast) where the pool will be open for warm-up.

Location: Binghamton University West Gym Pool. The pool is 6 lanes with electronic timing. The primary timing system will be automatic timiing (Colorado Timing System) Times will be submitted for USMS records and USMS Top 10 Consideration.

The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 107.2.

Registration: Currently registered USMS swimmers 18 years of age and older as of 3/27/22 are eligible to attend. USMS registration is required. USMS One-Event Registration is available with the online meet registration, but times are not official and are not recognized for USMS records or Top 10 consideration.

Fees: 
There is a flat meet fee of $40 for all swimmers.  All entries must be submitted online; your credit card will be charged by “USMS Niagara District”.  The maximum number of individual events is set at 6. 

Entries:   
There will be no deck entries.  Entries must be submitted online. Entries are due by Wednesday March 23th, 2022, midnight.

Results:
Result will be posted on the Niagara website and uploaded to the USMS database.

Seeding:  Events will be swum slowest to fastest, except the 1000 which will be seeded fastest to slowest.

Directions:   
From Rt 17 East or West take exit 70 south to Rt 201 South to Binghamton University.  Going up the main entrance drive bear right at the traffic circle to the first brick building on your right, the West Gym.  Park on the West side of the building and use the door adjacent to the parking lot.
