General Info for the 2011-2012 Carol Chidester Memorial Swim Series

Event lists, meet conduct, rules, and fees are detailed in the Swim Series Announcement.  Please click the link above and print out the 4-page announcement.

Meet #5

Entry Fees:  The meet will be free to all registered MARYLAND USMS swimmers who register online. Other than Maryland LMSC swimmers must register online and are welcome for a fee of $15.  Deck entry fee for Maryland LMSC swimmers is $15 (Fee waived for Maryland LMSC swimmers ages 60+).

Relays: All relays must be submitted prior to the start of the meet.  Each swimmer may swim in two relays consisting of ONE FREESTYLE RELAY and ONE MEDLEY RELAY.

The Plunge: A fun, different, and classic event, the Plunge will be offered immediately following Event #7 (the 400 Medley Relay). 

Y Nats:  There will be a informational meeting at 3:00pm addressing the YMCA National Championship Meet.  It will last until around 4:30pm, and will be held in the Holy Grounds building adjacent to the pool. 

Social: Plans are not finalized, but it is expected that there will be a gathering after the meet at Squisito's (pasta and other Italian foods), which is located right by the pool on Baltimore Annapolis Blvd.  They do not serve alcohol, but BYOB is permitted.

Driving Directions:
From MD Route 2 (Ritchie Highway) north bound:

• Turn left at Cypress Creek Road (Stop light).
• Follow Cypress Creek to where it dead ends at Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd. (Stop sign) 0.3 miles
• Turn right at B&A Blvd. and proceed about a block (92 feet) to first driveway marked with Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church Sign.
• Turn right at driveway. Entrance to the parking lot is on the right marked with a sign.
• You may also park behind the buildings in the Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church parking lot and walk down using the stairs or driveway
