Eligibility

Swimmers age 18 and over are eligible and must be either a registered member of US Masters Swimming, purchase a one event registration (OEVT) with your race entry or hold a valid travel permit from their nation's recognized Masters swimming governing body.

Divisions

Each race will have a non-wetsuit and wetsuit division. You must select your division during entry, but will be allowed to change division at the starting line.

Entry Fees

The open water clinic will be held Saturday May 23, 2009. Open water races will be Sunday May 24, 2009. Two races will be held; a 1-mile swim and 2-mile swim. Both races will have wetsuit or non-wetsuit divisions. Entries must be received by May 1, 2009.

Course Map

Entry limited as follows:

• Clinic — no limit
• 1-mile swim — 400 entries
• 2-mile swim — 400 entries

Online Entry Fees:

• Open water clinic — $10.50 ($10 + $0.50 processing fee)
• Enter 1 race — $52.50 ($50 + $2.50 processing fee)
• Enter 2 races — $94.50 ($90 + $4.50 processing fee)
• OEVT $20 (required if not a USMS member)

Processing Fees Not Added to Paper Entries

Donations to Lymphoma Foundation of America are optional

NO REFUNDS

Participants will be required to sign two separate waivers; A USMS open water waiver, and a Reston Association waiver (owners of the lake).

Submitted Times

Seed time will be based on 1650 yards time.
Swimming Time Limits:

• 1-mile - 50 minutes
• 2-mile - 90 minutes

T-shirts	Participants will receive 1 free T-shirt. Available sizes are small, medium, large, and xlarge.
Communications	Updates and special communications concerning the event will be posted on the event web site and distributed by email to those who supply a valid email address.
