Facility/Location: The IU Natatorium, “World’s Fastest Pool,” 901 West New York Street, Indianapolis 46202. We will use one 25-meter pool for competition and a separate 25-meter pool for warm-ups unless there are more than 32 entries for the 1500 in which case we may use both pools simultaneously for this event only. We will notify you if we use two pools. Parking is available in the adjacent garage. We have been notified that the IHSAA Soccer Championships will be held next door in the Track and Soccer Stadium.  Please leave early due to heavier traffic.  The soccer fans and participants are using flat lots across the street from the stadium; however, the montly portion of the garage will not be available (other than to montly pass holders) so please either use the Vermont St. garage if necessary or investigate alternative parking before the meet.  The garage cost will be higher than if the monthly portion were open because it will be based on the hours parked.  Also, the soccer participants will be using the west lockers so the diving and swimming participants will use the east lockers.

Meet Conduct: 2012 USMS Rules will govern conduct of this short-course meters meet.

Schedule: Saturday, October 27: Warm-up starts at 9:00 AM EDT. Competition starts at 10:00 AM. After the 1500 Free, there will be a 15-minute warm-up period with sprinting allowed in designated lanes.

Eligibility: All swimmers must be registered with USMS. Swimmer’s age is determined as of 12/31/12.

Seeding: All events will be timed finals. Swimmers will be seeded on basis of submitted times regardless of age. Men and Women may be seeded together. Men, use women’s event numbers for 1500, 400 IM and 200 Fly which will be mixed heats. Entrants submitting “no time” may be placed in the slowest heat for that event. Heats will be swum from slowest to fastest. Heat sheets will be posted around the deck.

Records: Swimmers attempting to set records during the meet should notify the Referee to assure that three official timers will be present.

Entry Deadline: Online entry open until 11:00 PM EDT on Wednesday October 24, 2012.

Entry Fee: $35 flat fee. (max. 5 individual events). No deck registration.

Awards: Each swimmer can request a results card to attach his/her results labels to at the end of the meet. There will be no awards for relays. Results will be posted at www.grinswim.org.

Relays: Relay cards may be obtained at the relay card pick-up table. Payment for relays must be submitted with the relay cards. $4 per relay – cash or check. NO REFUNDS!
