The 2020 Ohio Masters SCY swim meet at Cleveland State University has been cancelled due to the growing problem with the COVID-19 Virus.  The swim meet will not be rescheduled.  Swimmers will be refunded their entry fees in about a week.  We appreciate your patience in this unprecedented situation.   

A 2 day swim that offers events on Saturday to allow swimmers to swim events that would otherwise be too close together on Sunday.  The Saturday meet also offers the 1,000 and 1,650 yard freestyle events.  

DATES

March 28, 2020.  Warm-ups at 2 p.m. for events 1 and 2. Meet starts at 2:50 p.m. for events 1 and 2. Warm-ups for events 3 through 22 about 4 p.m.  Meet starts for events 3 through 22 at 4:50 p.m.  Deck entries for events 3 through 22 due 4:40 p.m.    
March 29, 2020.  Warm-ups at 9 a.m.  Deck entries until 9:50 a.m.  Meet at 10 a.m.

POOL

The Cleveland State University Busbey Natatorium for this meet will have 9 lanes, 25 yards in length with automatic timing and a digital read out board.  The lanes have depths between 12 to 16.5 feet and have antiturbulent lane lines.  Additional pool areas are available for warm-ups and warm-downs during the meet.  The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance with and is on file with USMS in accordance with article 105.1.7.  

LOCATION

To reach Busbey Natatorium, take I-90 to downtown Cleveland and exit at Chester Avenue.  The natatorium is located off this exit, just west of I-90.  It is the large brick building between Chester and Euclid Avenues.  Parking will be ample on the weekend in the many University parking lots and the free street parking.

ELIGIBILITY

All swimmers must be registered U.S. Masters swimmers.  Swimmers are limited to 6 individual events per day.  

SEEDING

Heats will be formed by submitted times, regardless of age or sex, and progress from fast to slow to "No Time" and deck entries.  

SATURDAY EVENTS

We offer events on Saturday to allow people to swim events that would otherwise be too close together on Sunday.  A stroke and distance swum on Saturday may not be repeated the next day.  Results of the Saturday events are combined with the results on Sunday.
