DATE: Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023. Warm-ups will start at 3:00 p.m. Deck entries must be in-hand at the Admin Desk by 3:30 p.m. The meet will start at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023. Warm-ups will start at 8:00 a.m. Deck entries must be in hand at the Admin Desk by 9:00 a.m. The meet will start with the 400 Freestyle event at 9:00 a.m. PLEASE NOTE: Deck Entries will only be accepted for empty lanes after the meet is pre-seeded on Thursday, November 30^th, 2023.
NO Entry will be accepted for swimming the same event on both days.  This is not permitted.

LOCATION: The East Woods School is located on North Hayden Parkway. From the intersection of Rte. 303 and Rte. 91 in the center of Hudson, go east on Rte. 303 about 0.8 mile. Turn left (north) on Hayden Parkway. The driveway into East Woods School is 0.3 mile on the left. The pool is on the far west end of the building.

POOL: The pool is a 6 lane, 25 meter pool with Kiefer non-turbulent lane markers and Daktronics Omnisport 2000 automatic timing. The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1. The primary timing system will be a Daktronics 2000 automatic timing system with touchpad finishes. Times may be submitted for USMS records and USMS Top 10 times.

ELIGIBILITY: U.S. Masters Swimming 2023 rules will govern conduct of the meet. Because of insurance requirements, all swimmers must be registered with U.S. Masters Swimmers. The USMS Release of Liability must be signed electronically during online meet entry.
                                             NOTE: Mail in entries will not be accepted for this meet.
Only swimmers entered in the meet can participate in relays. There is a “relay only” entry fee option, which is $10 and can be deck entered on the day of the meet.

DEADLINES: Registration must be completed online on ClubAssistant.com. Online entries will close at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. Deck entries must be in hand at the Admin Desk by 3:30 p.m. on Saturday the 2^nd and by 9:00 a.m. on Sunday the 3^rd for the second day of the meet if not previously submitted on Saturday. See additional information on deck entry restrictions in the “Deck Entries” section.

ENTRY LIMIT: Six individual events per day, plus relays. No limit to the number of relays entered. Swimmers over entered in the meet will be removed from their last event on each day over entered.

ENTRY           Early Entry Fee is $30.00 and ends at 11:59PM on November 19, 2023
FEES              Regular Entry Fee is $35.00 and begins at 12:00AM on November 20, 2023
                          All Deck Entries (see below for deck entry restrictions) are $40.00
                       “Relay only” entries can be done online or deck entry. Fee is only $10.00

USMS Members age 80 and older may enter the meet online for free. The computer system will determine your age. No code is required.
            
Online entries are paid by credit card to ClubAssistant.com and your credit card will show a charge by "OHIOMASTERS.com" for this swim meet. Reminder for the NOTE above. Online registration must be used to enter this event.

DECK  ENTRIES: All of the meet events will be pre-seeded to ensure timely functioning of the meet and so that swimmers can verify heat and lane assignments when they arrive at the pool and on Swim Phone prior to the meet. Deck entries will only be available for an event which has an empty lane as seeded when you arrive at the pool. Deck entries will be entered as no time entries and must be in hand at the Admin Desk as noted in the “DATE” section above. Swimmers, please scratch any events you do not intend to swim during check-in so that deck entrants may use open lanes.

AGE: The competitor's age on Dec. 31, 2023 will determine age group. Age groups are: 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, etc. For relays, the age group is determined by the sum of the ages of the swimmers:  76+, 120+, 160+, 200+, 240+, 280+ and so on. All relays can be swum with 4 women, 4 men, or mixed (exactly 2 women and 2 men).

AWARDS: Individual events: First-place medal or ribbon, and second thru seventh place ribbons are available. Relays: first, second, and third-place ribbons. For those who have too many medals and ribbons, we offer alternate awards – coupons – for first, second and third place in individual events and first place in relays.

SEEDING: Heats will be formed by submitted times, regardless of age or sex, and will progress from fast to slow to "No Time".

RESULTS: Results will be posted on www.ohiomasters.com and Swim Phone usually within a day or two and on usms.org shortly after the meet.

800M/1500M: Swimmers may NOT enter Events 17 AND 18. Swimmers do not need to submit a split request for event 17 if entered in event 18. Enter the 800M Freestyle only if you do not plan to swim the 1500M Freestyle. Swimmers who swim the 1500M Freestyle will automatically receive an 800M split time assuming data supports the completion of 800M in the electronic timing system. Swimmers who sign up for both events will not be seeded to swim the 800M Free. Deck entries as discussed in this announcement to swim in empty lanes will be considered at the meet but not to swim both events.

ORDER OF EVENTS: All Individual Events are mixed men and women events. Please note: No individual event may be repeated on Sunday if it was swum on Saturday. Additionally, swimmers may NOT register for the same event on both days and choose when to swim after arrival at the meet.

All relays will be entered by relay card submission to the Admin Desk at least one hour before the event. Relays will be men’s (M), women’s (W) or mixed (X) with exactly 2 men and 2 women and will be swum together in a single heat indicated in the list of events below

We offer events on late Saturday afternoon to allow people to swim events that would otherwise be too close together on Sunday morning. A stroke and distance swum on Saturday may not be repeated the next day. Results of the Saturday events are combined and scored with the results on Sunday.
