8 Lane, 25 meters (6 lanes will be used).
Separate diving well for warming up and warming down.
Competition pool depth: 4’6” to 6’.
Deck seating for competitors: 500
POOL
The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 107.2.1.
MEET CONDUCT
Current 2018 USMS rules will govern the conduct of the meet
ELIGIBILITY
The meet is open to anyone 18 and older. All entrants must be a member of USMS or a FINA-recognized National governing body. Each swimmer is eligible to swim a maximum of five (5) individual events, and two (2) relays.
AGE GROUPS
18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, . . . . (Age is as of 12/31/18.)
ENTRY FEES
$35 flat fee for all online entries. No paper entries. Must be received by 12/11/2018 by 11:59 P.M. EST.
NO DECK ENTRIES. Each swimmer can swim a maximum of 5 individual events and 2 relays. RELAY CARDS MUST BE TURNED IN BY 8:30 AM ON THE DAY OF THE MEET.
EVENT SEEDING
All events shall be seeded slowest to fastest. All no time (NT) entries shall be placed in the slower heats. All swimmers are responsible for reporting to the blocks at the appropriate time for their events. Heat and lane assignments for all events shall be posted on deck before the start of the competition.
RELAYS
Swimmers may only swim once in each of the following relays: 200 Free and 200 Medley. For example, a woman may not swim in the Women's 200 Free Relay and the Mixed 200 Free Relay.
WARM-UP PROCEDURES
Swimmers must enter the pool feet first in a cautious and controlled manner. No diving or backstroke starts will be allowed, except in designated sprint lanes. One or two lanes shall be designated as one-way sprint lanes during the pre-meet warm-up sessions in the competition pools only. Any swimmer who acts in an unsporting or unsafe manner within the swimming venue may be considered for appropriate action or penalty by the referee (Rule 102.15.3). Pull-buoys, kick boards, fins and hand paddles are not allowed in competition or warm-up pools.
SCORING & AWARDS
Individual events: 11-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. Relays shall score double the individual event point value. There will be no awards.
RESULTS
Will be posted on both the Indy Aquatic Masters website and the GRIN website.
