LOCATION:  The Riviera Club, 5640 N Illinois St, Indianapolis, IN 46208

FACILITY:  The Riviera Club pool is an outdoor 10-lane, 50 meter pool recently renovated. Eight lanes will be used for competition. Two lanes will be available for warm-up and cool-down during the competition. The competition pool depth ranges from 4 feet to 5 feet. There is deck seating for 300 competitors.

POOL: The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 107.2.1. (will be measured soon)

RULES:  Current 2019 U.S. Masters Swimming rules will govern the conduct of this met. Please be aware of entering sanctioned versus non-sanctioned events. See the section below: Sanctioned and Non-sanctioned Events.

ELIGIBILITY:  The meet is open to anyone 18 and older. All entrants must be registered with U.S. Masters Swimming or a member of a FINA-recognized National governing body. Each swimmer is eligible to swim a maximum of five (5) individual events and one relay.

REGISTRATION: Online registration through Club Assistant only.  NO PAPER ENTRIES. NO DECK ENTRIES. For assistance completing the online registration process, please contact Michelle C. Harter at info@indyaquaticmasters.com.

AGE GROUPS:  The swimmer's age is determined as of December 31st, 2019. Age categories are 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, etc.

ENTRY FEES:   Online entry is a $35 flat fee (maximum of 5 individual events).

EVENT DEADLINES:  Online entries must be received by Tuesday, July 9th at 11:59 PM EDT.  Relay cards must be turned in by 9:30 AM on the day of the meet.

EVENT SEEDING:   All heats will be seeded slowest to fastest.  

SANCTIONED AND NON-SANCTIONED EVENTS: Races swum without gear (fins and/or paddles) will be sanctioned events and eligible for U.S. Masters Swimming top ten rankings or records. Non-sanctioned events will be swum as an exhibition, mixed gender heats, and will not be eligible for U.S. Masters Swimming top ten rankings or records. Fins and/or paddles are permitted in the non-sanctioned events. All events permitting gear will be an in-water start off the wall for the safety of the swimmers and will be swum as Mixed events.

RELAYS:  An 8-person “fun” mixed 400 medley relay will be offered.

WARM-UP PROCEDURES: Swimmers must enter the pool feet first in a cautious and controlled manner. No diving or backstroke starts will be allowed, except in designated sprint lanes. One or two lanes shall be designated as one-way sprint lanes during the pre-meet warm-up sessions in the competition pool only. Any swimmer who acts in an unsporting or unsafe manner within the swimming venue may be considered for appropriate action or penalty by the referee (Rule 102.15.3). Pull-buoys, kick boards, fins and hand paddles are not allowed in competition or warm-up pools.

RESULTS: Will be posted on both the Indy Aquatic Masters website and the GRIN website.

*Event will consist of sanctioned and non-sanctioned heats. No gear is permitted for the sanctioned heats of each of event. Non-sanctioned heats will be mixed gender events and fins and/or paddles are permitted with an in-water start.
