2021 St. Patrick’s Day Swim Meet @ The Dome Natatorium- M.E. Lyons YMCA

Warm-up for Event #1 (1000 freestyle): 10:00 AM. The first heat of the 1000 Free begins at 11:00 AM.
Event #2 will begin no earlier than 1:00 pm
The meet is anticipated to end by 4:00 p.m.

Deadline: Online Entries are due by Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021 by 11:59 pm EDT.
Eligibility: 2021 U.S. Masters Swimming rules will govern the conduct of the meet. Because of insurance regulations, all swimmers must be registered U.S. Masters Swimmers. Limit 6 individual events. Only swimmers entered in the meet can participate in relays. Only relays from the same club/chapter/workout group may score points. Un-attached swimmers MAY NOT form relays per USMS Rule 102.9.1.
COVID-19 Precautions:
To comply with USMS, local, regional, state, and federal health guidelines and orders, as well as facility requirements the following guidelines have been put into place for the St. Patrick’s Day Invitational 2021. All attendees must comply with the following guidelines or will be disqualified from the meet and will be asked to leave.
USMS COVID-19 Attendee Screening Form: All attendees will complete and turn in the USMS COVID-19 Attendee Screening Form. The completed form will be submitted at the check-in desk upon entering the facility. Attendees will have a temperature check upon entering the YMCA facility.
Face Coverings and Social Distancing: Everyone must wear a face covering when in the facility and on the pool deck unless they are competing or called to the block before their event. Attendees will be required to maintain at least 6 feet of social distancing. This includes during warm-ups, competition time, on deck, and during cool-down.
Swimmer Areas: Designated areas around the pool are marked for social distancing requirements. Swimmers should stay in their areas when they are not competing. All swimmers and staff must wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
Changing Areas: Locker rooms will be available for swimmers to use during the meet. Locker rooms are restricted to 10 people at a time during the meet. No gear may be stored in the locker room during the event.
Family changing rooms will also be available for use and will have a max capacity of 1 individual per changing room unless otherwise approved.
Lobby bathrooms will be available for all individuals and will have a max capacity of 2 individuals at any given time.
Spectators: There will be NO spectator attendance at this meet due to guidance from US Masters Swimming.
Water Fountains are only available for refilling reusable bottles, which are sensor activated.
Timers: Timers will be stationed behind the blocks and will be asked to set back away from the block while the swimmer is on or behind the block. Once the heat has started and the swimmers enter the water timers may set up to the side of the pool at that time. For longer races, there will be a chair behind each block for timers to use. All timers must wear a face covering. All stopwatches, pickles, clipboards, and pencils will be disinfected before the meet begins and again after the meet is over.

Fees: Only Online Registration only. There will be a flat fee of $40.00 to attend this meet for on-line entry, which includes 6 individual events and 2 relays for the meet. There are NO DECK ENTRIES for this meet.
Refunds: There will be no refunds given for the meet unless the meet is canceled.
Facility: The meet will be conducted in the Dome pool. We have Kiefer blocks, lane lines, backstroke flags, and a new heating unit. The pool is a 6-lane 25-yard pool with Competitor non-turbulent lane markers, Colorado automatic timing ran with Hy-Tek software. There will be a separate 6 lane pool available for continuous warm-up and warm down. The length of the competition course complies with USMS by articles 105.1.7 and 107.2.1, but as a bulkhead course, is subject to length confirmation. Eligibility of times for USMS Top 10 and Records will be contingent on verification of bulkhead placement.
Age Groups: The age of competitors on March 27th, 2021 will determine the age group.
Seeding: Heats will be formed by times, regardless of age or sex, and progress from “no time”, deck entries, slowest to fastest.
MEET CHECK IN: Yes to get your meet goodie bag, and also for those swimming event #1, 1000 Free.
Only the first 24 entries received during the entry process will be allowed to swim 1000 freestyle. There is a time cut-off of 25 minutes for the 1000 freestyle. Time Verification for all events is at the discretion of the meet host to check the USMS database to ensure accuracy and ensure a smooth running meet. Entries of NT (no time) for event #1 will not be accepted.
Event #2 - Medley Relays will not start before 1:00 pm. All Events will run slowest to fastest.
Session # 1 begins at 11 a.m.
Session # 2 begins no earlier than 1:00 p.m.
The meet is anticipated to end by 4:00 p.m.
