COURSE: Ten (10) lane, 50 meter course with Colorado timing. Designated 25 Yard lanes available for warm-up throughout competition.

 

ELIGIBILITY: Meet is open to all currently registered USMS or currently registered FINA recognized governing body, swimmers 18 years or older. Age to be determined as of December 31, 2011.

 

RULES: 2011 USMS rules will govern this meet. Meet management reserves the right to adjust logistics in order to run an efficient meet.

 

BREAKS: There will be a 10-minute break prior to each relay event and a 5-minute break following each relay event.

 

ENTRIES: Competitors may enter up to a maximum of five (5) individual events per day. Events 400 meters and longer may be swum combined men and women, and will be deck seeded with a positive check-in. Check-in deadline will be 9:30 AM on Saturday July 23 and 10:30 AM on Sunday July 24.

 

DISTANCE EVENTS: All athletes swimming the 800 Free will need to provide an individual to serve as a lap counter. Entries will be seeded Slowest to Fastest.

 

DECK ENTRIES: Deck entries will be accepted on the day of the meet up to 1 hour prior to the start of the session for double the entry fee. Entries are only permitted in to open lanes-no new heats will be added. Please be sure to bring a copy of your current USMS registration card or FINA equivalent on the day of the event, or you will not be permitted to compete. Double Entry Fee if not in meet. $5 per event if already entered in meet.

 

ENTRY FEES and DEADLINES: All Entry and registration fees are nonrefundable. Online entry is preferred and is open until 11:59 PM EDT, July 18, 2011. All paper entries must be received by the Entry Chairperson by July 15, 2011. Entry form and payment, along with A COPY OF YOUR 2011 USMS REGISTRATION CARD should be mailed to: June Krauser Summer Splash, FLA Masters, 501 Seabreeze Boulevard, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33316. Checks made payable to: Fort Lauderdale Aquatics.

 

AWARDS: Ribbons for 1-3. Tri-fold cards will be provided for awards labels.

 

RELAYS: Relay entries will be accepted on the deck up to 60 minutes prior to the start of the relays. There is a $10.00 CHARGE for each relay entered; Payment is due with relay entry.

 

RESULTS: Results will be available at the following: www.fortlauderdale.gov/flac under the "results of current meets" link as well as via Fort Lauderdale Aquatics - www.flaswim.com.
