Asphalt Green is hosting the 4th Swim for the Future inter-squad swim meet on Friday, October 18th, 2013 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm to raise scholarships for young, deserving swimmers.
The Swim for the Future Scholarship was created in memory of Doug Irgang and Andrew Fisher, two Asphalt Green Masters swimmers who perished on September 11. The scholarship program gives the next generation of swimmers an opportunity to compete.
Asphalt Green’s Unified Aquatics Swim Team (AGUA) scholarship recipients break national age group records. They realize their potential in the pool and learn valuable lessons about character, dedication, and teamwork.
Your $50 entry fee will go directly to the Swim for the Future Scholarship Fund.
Please note that online registrations are paid to "ClubAssistant.com Events."
On the night of the meet, you will have the opportunity to compete in four individual events (50 Fly, 50 Back, 50 Breast, and 50 Free) as well as one team relay.
Athletes from Asphalt Green Masters and AGUA teams will be combined, thus creating two integrated squads, lead by Captains Jonas Altman-Kurosaki and Rachel Stratton-Mills.
A full scholarship costs $3,995 for the year and it offers a lifetime of confidence building—within and outside the pool! This is a great and rewarding opportunity to give the gift of swimming to deserving, young athletes.
