Wahoo Masters Fall Short Course Meters Meet

 

FACILITY: Wilton Family YMCA, 404 Danbury Road, Wilton, CT   Phone: 203-762-8384. The Wilton YMCA pool is a 6 lane by 50 meter facility with a dividing bulkhead and Colorado electronic timing. The meet will be run as a 25 meter, 6 lane meet. There will be 2 designated warm-up/down lanes open for the duration of the meet.

 

WARM-UP: Feet first entry to the pool during warm-up. Diving will be permitted at the discretion of the meet referee and only in designated one-way sprint lane(s).

 

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all USMS-registered swimmers age 19 and older. Age determining date for this meet is December 31, 2011. Include a legible copy of your current 2011 USMS registration card with entry form. Masters membership registration will be available at the meet.  

 

SCHEDULE: Warm-up 12:30 PM. Pool will be cleared at 1:15 PM for a meet start at 1:30 PM; pool must be cleared by 5:00 PM. Deck entries must be in by 12:30 PM!!  No deck entries will be accepted after this time.

 

CHECK-IN: Positive check-in is required for all as you must sign the liability form the day of the meet. 

 

SEEDING: Events will be run in heats, slowest to fastest, regardless of age or sex. 

 

EVENT LIMIT: Swimmers are permitted to enter a MAXIMUM of three (3) individual events & three (3) relay events.

 

RELAY ENTRIES: Women’s relays must consist of four women. Men’s relays must consist of four men. Mixed relays may be made up of two women & two men or three women & one man. Mixed relays going for a USMS record must be two women and two men. Relays may be deck entered or may be pre-registered (contact wahoomasters@att.net to discuss relay pre-registration).

 

RECORD TIMES: A swimmer who intends to post a USMS National Record or FINA World Record during the meet should bring it to the attention of the Meet official PRIOR TO YOUR EVENT. 

 

AWARDS: No awards will be given out. 

 

ONLINE ENTRY: Online Entry Preferred. Online entries close at midnight eastern time on November 10, 2011. Your credit card will be charged by “ClubAssistant.com Event Billing” for this meet.

 

PAPER ENTRY: Paper entries must be received (not postmarked) by November 9, 2011.

 

ENTRY FEES: Meet entry fee is $30.00 for entries completed online or received by mail by November 9, 2011. Online entries on November 10, 2011 are $50.00. Late entries and/or deck entries are $50.00.

DIRECTIONS: From I-95 North & South take Exit 15, follow signs to Rte 7 north (Danbury). Stay on connector to end. Turn right at light, then at 2nd light take a left at light onto Rte. 7 north, and continue about 4 miles. Y is on right, across from Wilton High School. *Relays can be entered day of meet. All relay entries are due by 12:30 PM. At meet manager’s discretion, relay events may be combined and run in 1 heat.

 

There will be a 5 minute break between the 50 SCM Back and the 800 SCM Free Relay and between the 50 SCM Freestyle and 200 SCM Free Relay. There will be a 10 minute break 800 SCM Free Relay and the 50 SCM Breast.
