Directions:
From I-75: Use Exit 107 (Pine Ridge Road) and go west about 1 mile to Livingston Road (stoplight). Turn right (north) and go 0.4 miles to Osceola Trail (stoplight) and turn left. Take an immediate left to the pool.
From US-41: Go to Pine Ridge Road (Barnes & Noble on NE corner) and turn east. Do NOT turn in at the Naples YMCA on Pine Ridge Road! Continue to Livingston Road (stoplight) and turn left (north). Go 0.4 mile to Osceola Trail (stoplight) and turn left. Take an immediate left to the pool.

Facility: 25-yard by 9-lane 50-meter outdoor pool. Up to eight 50-meter lanes will be used for competition with one 50-meter lane for warm-up and warm-down during the meet. The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 107.2.1.

Rules: 2018 USMS long course rules and safety guidelines for warm-up procedures will be followed. Safety guidelines specify feet-first entry during warm-ups except for designated sprint lanes. All events will be timed finals.

Time: Warm-up starts at 8:30 AM; competition starts at 9:30 AM

Timing: Electronic timing with hand/stopwatch backup. Times will count towards USMS Records and Top 10.

Eligibility: The meet is open to all USMS registered swimmers aged 18 years and older on the day of the meet. Competition age is the age on December 31, 2018.

Events: Swimmers may enter up to 5 individual events and 3 relays. Entries for the 200 free relay are due by 9:00 AM. Entries for the 200 medley relay are due before event 23.

Special note: The meet director reserves the right to insert breaks between events to provide sufficient rest for swimmers. Please contact the meet director/referee on deck if additional time is needed.

Awards: Individual awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place for each gender and age group in each event.

Fees: The $40 meet entry fee includes the social at the pool after last event for registered swimmers, Guests attending the social will cost $10/person. Late fee for paper entries is an additional $20 (only if open lanes are available; no new heats will be created for late entries). All fees are non-refundable.

Seeding: All events will be seeded slowest to fastest without regard to age. Results will be tabulated by gender and age group as defined by USMS. All individual events except the 400 free and the 400 IM will be seeded in advance. The 400 free and 400 IM will be mixed gender and will be seeded only after positive check-in has expired. Entry times shall be in meters. No Time (NT) entries will be seeded as slowest times. Please avoid using NT times whenever possible, and please use realistic entry times (no sandbagging!).

Relays will be deck-seeded and relay heat/lane assignments posted at the meet. There is no additional charge for relay entries. Psych sheets will be posted at www.dixiezone.org/Meets.htm around Tuesday, May 14 depending on the number of late entries being processed.

ENTER ONLINE: You will be able to submit your entry times, use a secure site for payment of fees, sign the standard USMS waiver electronically, and have your USMS membership verified through this system. You will also be able to access the USMS database of times associated with your USMS registration number to help determine appropriate seed times. Your credit card statement will show a charge from “ClubAssistant.com Events.”

Entry deadlines:
Online entry closes Saturday, May 12, at 11:59 PM.

Paper entries must be received (not postmarked) by Thursday, May 10. Mailed entries received after that date will be assessed an additional $20 late fee. No new heats will be created to accommodate late entries. Make check payable to T2Aquatics and mail with the entry form, signed liability waiver, and a copy of your 2018 USMS card to:

Sunday open water fun swim
There will be a fun 2-mile open water swim (not a competition; not sanctioned so USMS insurance does not apply) on Sunday, May 20, starting at 8:30 am at Vanderbilt Beach. It is hosted by the SWFL Open Water Swimming Group. This is purely for fun for anyone who may want to stay overnight and do some open water swimming the next day. There is no fee or registration.
