Facility: Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center, 800 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Charlotte NC. (704) 336-3483. The pool is 50 meters by 25 yards, with a bulkhead dividing the competition area into an 8 lane 25 meter course. Continuous warm up/down lanes will be available. The pool has been certified with USMS and new measurements will be made before and after the meet in case records are set.

Rules: Swimmers must be registered with USMS for 2013 or 2014. USMS One Day Registration will not be allowed. USMS rules govern the meet. Swimmers are limited to 7 individual events plus relays. The maximum number of individual events allowed in any single day is 5. Time Trial swims are included in the daily count. When warming up, you must enter the pool feet first except in sprint lanes. No paddles or kickboards are allowed.

Deadline: Online entries only by 11:59 PM EDT Sunday November 3, 2013. No paper entries will be accepted and no deck entries will be accepted at the meet.

Fee: $25.00 flat fee. No charge for relays. There will be no refunds unless the meet is cancelled, in which case $10.00 of the fee will be retained and $15.00 will be refunded.

Scoring & Awards: Individual events will be scored 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1; relays doubled. No ribbons or individual high point awards or team awards will be given, but a paper plaque for peel-off stickers will be given to all entrants.

Seeding: All events will be seeded by time only. In order to be seeded in the 400 free, you must re-confirm at the pool that you will swim. All events will be seeded slow to fast. “No Time” is not allowed. A Time Trial event is included. Do not enter it online. Forms to enter a time trial event will be available at the Clerk of Court table at the pool. You may time trial any event up to and including a 200m event but it must be an event you did not participate in during this meet. A special form for entering a time trial will be available at the Clerk of Course table. Fill this out at the meet and leave it at the Clerk of Course table BEFORE the first event starts Sunday morning.

Schedule: 

Saturday Noon: Warm up. First heat begins at 12:45 PM.

Sunday morning: Warm up at 8:00am; first heat of the 100 IM starts at 8:45am. Because all lanes at the pool are open on Sunday, the meet will be continuous upon completion of the last heat of the 400 free.

Lodging: 15 double rooms have been set aside for this meet at the nearby Hampton Inn 530 East Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Charlotte NC 28202 Call 704-373-091 to reserve a room; say Masters Swimming when you call. There is a convention in town and this hotel is under contract to quote no less than $119.00 per room night. Breakfast is included.
