Wesleyan Natatorium is a 50-meter x 25-yard pool. We will utilize 5 lanes (1-5) for competition with continual warm-ups in lanes 7 & 8. Lane 6 will be closed to swimmers during competition. There will be 2 lanes for continuous warm-up/warm down during competition. Spectator Seating capacity is for 300 individuals.

Directions & Parking

Spectators should park in the parking lot (R) on the hill across from the athletic center, parking lot (Q) immediately after the fire station, or in the Vine Street lot (Lot V) by the tennis courts. There will be strict enforcement of the no parking zones and parking officials will be present along the circle in front of the athletic center.

Locker Rooms and Pool Deck Entrance Instructions:
Stairs leading to the men’s and women’s locker rooms are on the right as you enter the Freeman Athletic Center Lobby Area. At the bottom of the stairs, signs will direct you to the men’s general locker room (left) and women’s general locker room (right). Entrance to the pool deck is next to the shower area in each of the general locker rooms.

Fire Marshall Restrictions
Maximum Seating Capacity on the pool deck is limited to 250 individuals. We will be well under this capacity limit. However, because of Fire Marshall Restrictions, additional camp chairs are not allowed on deck, in the spectator area, in the Freeman Athletic Center Lobby or hallways, or outside the entrances to the athletic center.

Athlete Seating and Banners
Ample bleachers will be provided for athletes along 3 sides of the long course facility. Team banners and signs may be placed on the walls. Please do not use duct tape or tape signs and banners to the painted surfaces. Also, please do not block the spectators view. Banners cannot be hung from the diving stands.

Entry Deadline:
11:59 pm on Saturday, August 20 th, 2016.

Entry Procedure
Athletes must enter online here. Enter a maximum of FIVE individual events per day, plus relays. Please enter LONG COURSE METERS seed times.

Meet entry fee $20
Individual events $5 each
Relay Entries: No cost
Unfortunately, there will not be any refunds.

If you miss the entry deadline, you may submit an entry form with an additional $15 penalty. Late entries must be received by 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24th. If, in the judgment of the meet director, the event timeline approaches the limitations of pool availability, no further entries will be accepted. Please enter early!

Timing System
Colorado Timing – System 6 with electronic scoreboard. Hy-Tek Meet Manager 6.0 will be used to compile results which will be posted after each event.

Awards & Team Scores
No Awards or Team/Workout Group Scores will be handed out.

There will be three (3) officials provided on Saturday and two (2) on Sunday.

Competition Schedule
Warm-ups at 8:30 am. Competition Starts at 10:00 am.

On Saturday, there will be a 5 minute break after the Men’s 200 Free and before the start of the Women’s 400 Medley Relay, and there will be another 5 minute break after the Mixed 400 Medley Relay and before the start of the Women’s 1,500 Freestyle.
On Sunday, there will be a 5 minute break after the Men’s 200 Fly and before the start of the Women’s 400 Free Relay, and there will be another 5 minute break after the Mixed 400 Free Relay and before the start of the Women’s 400 Freestyle.

Warm-up Schedule
Starting at 8:30 am, there will be General Warm-up in all 8 competition lanes. Pace Lanes will be established in Lane #1 at 9:15 am and a Sprint Lanes will begin at 9:30 am in Lane #8.
** Note: Please remember to do feet-first entries only when entering the pool during warmups.

Entry Limits
Each athlete is allowed a 5 event maximum per day not including relays.

Relay Entry Limits
Relay entries will be accepted on deck until the start of the event and will be deck-seeded.

Changes, Positive Check-in, & Additional Entries:
A Psych Sheet will be e-mailed to athletes on Thursday, August 25th. Athletes will need to check for mistakes and notify Peter Solomon (psolomon@wesleyan.edu) of any changes by Friday morning, August 26th at 12:00 pm. Positive Meet Check-ins are required by 9:30 am for all events on that day; except the 1,500 Free (Saturday) and 400 Free (Sunday). Positive Check-in for these events are at 10:30 am on their respective days.
Races will be seeded in heats, slowest to fastest. Entries with “NT” will be seeded in the slowest heat. Heat Sheet will be posted on deck at both ends of the pool. Once the heat sheets for an event have been created, additional entries will be accommodated as best as possible in any available empty lanes, but no additional heats will not be created.

Meet Results
Meet Results will be posted throughout the competition and will be available on Meet Mobile. Complete Meet results will be sent to USMS at the conclusion of the meet.
