17th Hall of Fame Swim Meet

Location: University of Arkansas at Little Rock Donaghey Student Center 2801 South University Little Rock, AR 72204

Facility: Eight lane 50 meter x 25 yard pool with 9 foot lanes with Keifer Competitor lane lines and non-skid starting blocks. The minimum water depth is 7’0” at the start end and 8’0” at the turn end. Colorado Timing System and touch pads will be used with an eight-lane scoreboard. Times from this competition will be eligible for USMS records and Top 10 consideration, but not for world records. The length of the competition course with a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1, but as a bulkhead course is subject to length confirmation. Eligibility of times for USMS Top 10 and records will be contingent on verification of bulkhead placement.

Meet Conduct: Current USMS rules will govern the conduct of the meet.

Eligibility: The meet is open to anyone 18 and older. We want to support all of our swimmers who would like to try their hand at competition, so swimmers do not have to be a member of USMS. If you are not currently a USMS member, you will just need to fill out a one-event form. The USMS fee for one-event registration is $20.00. If you want to register for USMS, the annual fee is $70.00  and you can register online here: https://www.usms.org/join-usms/join-or-renew

Entry Fee: $30.00 entry fee for all current USMS members.  $50.00 entry fee for non-USMS members ($30.00 for meet, and $20.00 for one-event fee as described above).

Payment and entries will be processed through Club Assistant.

Deadline: Entries are due no later than Sunday, May 14, 2023 at 11:59 pm CT.

Event Seeding: Events will be seeded according to pre-entered seed times for each swimmer, regardless of age or gender. If an event is comprised of multiple heats, the slower heats will be contested first. All no-time (NT) entries shall be placed in the slower heats.  Competitors limited to six (6) total events (excluding relays).  Competitors racing the 1000 or 1650 Freestyle must choose one or the other.

Events are listed as mixed - men and women will swim together in combined heats.  Relays will do the same.  The relays are NOT "mixed gender relays" (2 men and 2 women).

Warm up begins at 12:00 pm, with a meet start time of 1:00 pm. Entry into the pool must be feet first in a cautious manner. Diving shall be permitted only in the designated sprint lanes during the meet warm-up. The primary timing system will be Colorado Timing Systems electronic touch pads, with a manual timing system with two watches for back-up. The official times from this meet will be submitted for Arkansas state records and USMS Top 10.
