Warm-Up/Start – Meet warm-up at 12 noon, Meet start at 1:00 pm. 

Sanction: Sanctioned by North Texas for USMS, Inc. Sanction Number is 263-S001. Times achieved at the meet will be submitted to USMS and are eligible for Top Ten and USMS National records.

Facility: Garland ISD Natatorium 2585 Firewheel Pkwy, Garland, TX 75040.  For directions and description of facility see:  https://gisdnatatorium.net

The length of the competition course is not on file with USMS. Eligibility of times achieved in this meet will be contingent upon pool length measurement and approval with USMS; if bulkheads are present, their placement must also be confirmed by measurements at the meet (USMS articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1).

Garland is a 65M x 25yd pool.  The competition course will be set up using 8 lanes of the 25-yard width of the pool (NO bulkhead) with non-turbulent lane lines and fully automatic timing system with display board. Warm-up/warm-down lanes will be available during the meet.  Parking is available adjacent to the natatorium. Locker room facilities available.

CONCESSIONS: There will be no concessions available however swimmers may bring in food and drink (no glass and no alcohol).  In addition, we will be providing FREE snack/protein bars to all officials, timers and swimmers during the meet and FREE pizza/snacks for everyone at the pool after the meet.  Please be courteous and clean your area before leaving the pool.

Eligibility: Open to all swimmers who are 18 years or older as of March 4, 2023 and are currently registered with United States Masters Swimming (USMS).

Entries and Fees:

• The entry fee is $40.00 to enter.  All entries must be completed online by Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 11:59 pm.  Entry fee includes FREE snack/protein bars during the meet and FREE pizza/snacks for everyone at the pool after the meet.
• The late entry fee is $50.00 for all online entry forms received Thursday, March 2, at 12:01 am to 12:00 NOON Friday, March 3, 2023.  
• Day of meet paper deck entries are $60.00 CASH and will only be accepted with print or electronic copy of current USMS registration card.  Deadline for accepting deck entries is 12:30pm Saturday, March 4.
• A swimmer may enter a maximum of five (5) individual events.  
• NO ONE SWIMS WITHOUT 2023 USMS REGISTRATION.

First Meet Free Promotion: Sponsored by North Texas LMSC.  If you have never entered a Masters meet, you can enter the meet for FREE! To enter you must be a member of North Texas LMSC for 2023. Email your request to Lynn Morrison for verification and to receive your Club Assistant entry coupon.  The First Meet Free promotion is NOT available for day of meet paper deck entries.

Seeding: Submit current best times, in yards. Men and women will swim separate for distances 100 yards and under. For distances 200 yards and over, men and women will swim mixed and be seeded by time only.  All events will be swum from slowest to fastest, with the exception of the 400 IM, 500 Free, and 1000 Free which will be determined day of the meet. The 500 free and 1000 free may swim two to a lane depending on time and number of entries. Entries without seed times will be placed in the slowest heats.  All events will be deck seeded approx. 15 minutes before the anticipated start of each event. Positive check-in is required on the day of competition for EACH event.

Rules: Current USMS rules will govern the conduct of this meet. THE NO FALSE START RULE WILL BE ENFORCED.
