DATE & TIME: Saturday, October 19, 2024. Warm-up and check-in open at 8:30 a.m. Check-in and relay entries close at 9:30 a.m. Meet starts at 10:00 a.m. Scroll to the bottom of this page to view the order of events.

FACILITY: Roger Williams University Aquatics Center, located at 1 Old Ferry Rd, Bristol, RI 02809, has an eight-lane, 25-yard, 4-to-12-foot-deep pool with 7-foot-wide lanes. This meet will have six competition lanes and two continuous warmup lanes. There is deck space with bleachers for 275 swimmers, seating in the stands for 225 spectators, and wheelchair access to all public areas, including the pool deck, locker rooms, and stands via elevator.

POOL LENGTH CERTIFICATION: The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1.

TIMING SYSTEM: This meet will use a Daktronics automatic timing system with touchpads at the finish end, a one-button semi-automatic backup system, and a backup watch on each lane. There may be an eight-line electronic scoreboard, pending equipment upgrades. Times swum at this competition by members of U.S. Masters Swimming will be eligible for USMS record and Top 10 consideration.

ELIGIBILITY: Any adult swimmer aged 18 or older. The age determination date is October 19, 2024. If you are not a USMS member, on the next page click the "No Governing Body" button to proceed with your meet entry.

DECK ENTRIES: Space allowing, deck entries will be accepted onsite at the meet from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

ENTRY FEE: $35 flat fee for online entry via credit/debit card or $45 for deck entry via cash or check. Fee is nonrefundable. Swimmers are not registered for the meet until their entry is complete. Incomplete entries will be deleted. Your credit card statement will reflect a charge from "KINGFISH SWIMMING."

ENTRY LIMITS: The meet entry cap is 125 swimmers. Each swimmer may enter 5 individual events plus relays. Relays will be deck-entered.

CHECK-IN: All events require positive check-in at the meet. Check-in will open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 9:45 a.m. Swimmers who do not check in will not be seeded.

RELAYS: There is no relay entry fee, but every swimmer must be entered in at least one individual event. Swimmers cannot swim on both a same-sex relay and a mixed-sex relay for the same event. For a relay time to count for USMS purposes, all four swimmers on the relay must be affiliated with the same club in their respective USMS member record.

RELAY ENTRY DEADLINE: All relay entries must be deck-entered at the meet by 9:30 a.m. via the official relay entry form.

RULES: 2023 USMS Rules & Regulations apply. Please read Article 402 “Conduct of Members” and act accordingly.

SEEDING: All events will be timed finals seeded by time, slowest to fastest, after check-in closes. Individual event heats will be men and women combined. Relay heats may combine single-sex and mixed relays. 

USMS SPLIT REQUESTS: Official split requests for individual events must be submitted using the USMS Split Notification Form. Per USMS rules, for backstroke events you must notify the meet referee of your intent to record an initial split time before swimming that event and for individual events other than backstroke you must notify the referee before the meet ends. All relay leadoff splits will be recorded as automatic official splits.

RECORD-BREAKING SWIMS: Any Masters swimmer who believes they may break a USMS national record should notify the meet referee before that event.

HEAT SHEETS: Heat sheets will be posted onsite and on the meet website.

RESULTS: Results will be posted onsite and on the meet website and Meet Mobile. Times are not official until they are posted to the USMS meet results database.

HOSPITALITY: Food and drink are allowed on the pool deck (please keep your area clean) but glass containers are prohibited. There is a snack stand in the recreation center, a campus cafeteria across the street, and restaurants ~1.8 miles away in downtown Bristol.

CONDITIONS: Every participant must complete and sign the USMS Participant Waiver built into the online meet registration process. By entering this meet you hereby give United States Masters Swimming, the New England Local Masters Swimming Committee, the University of Rhode Island, Kingfish RI and their assignee’s permission to take and use photographs and video recordings of you at the meet for promotional purposes.
