Sanction:  Sanctioned by Southern Pacific Masters Swimming for USMS, Inc. Sanction #331-013

Description: This relay meet will include Masters events, youth events (USA Swimming), and combined family events. A portion of the proceeds from this meet will go towards the Patrick Moore Memorial College Scholarship Fund.  Additional donations accepted during online pre-registration for this meet.

Facility: Mission Viejo Pool is an outdoor, 25yd by 50m competition pool at the Marguerite Aquatic Center, 27474 Casta Del Sol, Mission Viejo. Ample deck space is available for structures (canopies, tents) and seating. Bring tie-downs and weights to secure your structures.

Directions: From the north or south, take the I-5 Freeway to the Alicia Parkway exit in Mission Viejo. Go east (away from the ocean) to Trabuco Road. Turn right on Trabuco to Marguerite Parkway. Go left on Marguerite to Casta Del Sol, turn right onto Casta Del Sol, and turn into the driveway for pool parking. There will be no parking in the upper parking lot. No tennis parking on Marguerite allowed.

Schedule: Sunday, July 3, 2011. Warm-up at 8:15am. First event at 9:00am.

Course: Long Course Meters. The pool is a 50 meter by 25 yard, 8 lane outdoor heated pool. Six or seven lanes (depending on entries) will be used for the competition and at least one lane will be used for warm-up/warm down. 

Rules: Current USMS and SPMA rules will govern. All events are timed finals. Swimmers are limited to a total of five relay events in the meet. Swimmers may compete in the appropriate male or female event as well as the mixed relay event for the same specified relay and distance. Lead-off swimmer’s times will be valid for submitting to time qualifying events (a pad hit and legal finish is required).  

Eligibility: Open to any current 2011 USMS registered swimmer or a foreign swimmer with a valid Masters swimming membership. Age on December 31, 2011 determines age group for the meet. You must be at least 18 to compete.

Entries: Individual pre-registration online is preferred. Online individual entries must be completed by 6pm pacific time on July 2, 2011.  Day-of meet deck entry also permitted. All relays will be deck entered. Entry cards for events 1 to 4 are due by 8:30am, events 5 to 8 by 9:00am, events 9 to 12 by 10:00am, and events 13 to 15 by 10:30am.

Seeding: All events will be deck seeded slowest to fastest, by entered time, ages and genders combined.

Relays: All relays will be deck entered on SPMA relay forms available at the meet. Relay fees are $6.00 per SPMA relay due upon entry. Family Relays: All swimmers must be USMS/USA registered.

Awards: SPMA ribbons for first through third place.

Entry Fees: $20.00 per swimmer surcharge. Pre-registration online is preferred. Swimmers entering on meet day (deck entry) must complete a consolidated entry card and provide a photocopy of their 2011 USMS card.
