Instructors:
Scott Bay and Mel Goldstein

Scott Bay is an ASCA Level V Coach and has been actively coaching for 20 Years. He is currently the Chair of the Florida Athletic Coaches Association, Chair of the FHSAA Swimming and Diving Advisory Committee and Coaches Chair for Florida LMSC and Vice Chair for USMS Swimming Coaches Committee.

Mel Goldstein was the 2001 Speedo US Masters Coach of the year, Mel won the 1997 Ransom J. Arthur MD Award that goes annually to a person who best supports the objectives of masters swimming. It is the highest honor bestowed by United States Masters Swimming. He is a past President of USMS and USMS All American with 255 Individual Top Ten Achievements.

Prerequisites: You must be a 2012 USMS and ASCA Member. ASCA and USMS Membership information is provided on the application for this clinic and you will be able to sign up on site. ASCA Membership fee is $70 for one year. More information about ASCA may be found here: www.swimmingcoach.org

Upon successful completion of the class: Each person will be awarded a USMS Level I and II Coaches Certification.

Fees: $120 for Levels I and II Certification, includes Saturday lunch. $70 for Level I only.

Scholarships: SPMS has a limited number of scholarships available for the coaches certification clinic. If you would like to request a scholarship send an email to registrar@spma.net explaining why you should receive the scholarship. SPMS will consider scholarship requests on a case-by-case basis.

Maximum: Maximum attendance is 50.

Who should attend? Current coaches, anyone interested in supporting their existing team and coach, or anyone interested in starting a Masters Program, big or small.

Online Entries:
Online entry is preferred. Online entry closes at midnight pacific time on February 9, 2012 or when the course enrollment reaches 50.

Online Entries are Paid by Credit Card:
Your online entry for this course will be paid by credit card and processed by Club Assistant. Please look for "ClubAssistant.com Events" on your credit card statement.

Cancellation Policy

Coach certification registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable to another individual. However, If you can provide the USMS national office with a minimum of 72 hours notice before the start of the scheduled course, you may transfer your registration to a course at an alternate date and location. Written email notification must be sent to clubandcoach@usmastersswimming.org
