• 9:00 a.m. -10:15 a.m. – Session 1: Supporting swimmers with different goals (i.e. triathlon, fitness, speed, distance) with a focus on freestyle technique and training
• 10:30 a.m. -11:45 a.m. – Session 2: Coaches Roundtable Discussion Topic A (USMS Support for Clubs and Events)

Noon – 1:30 p.m. – Lunch and Keynote Speaker

1:45 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. - General sessions 

• 1:45 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. – Session 3: Training varied Masters ability levels with focus on Backstroke technique and  training 
• 3:15 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. – Session 4: Butterfly and Breaststroke training for Masters Swimmers - How to encourage Masters swimmers to break from Freestyle
• 4:45 p.m.- 5:45 p.m. – Session 5: Coaches Roundtable Discussion Topic B (USMS Coaching Resources) 

6:30p.m. - 8:00 p.m.- Dinner "Let's Get Spooky" (costumes optional)

• 9:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. - Freestyle (Title TBD)
• 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - Backstroke (Title TBD)
• 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.- Lunch in pool lobby
• 12:45 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. - Breaststroke & Butterfly (Title TBD)
• 1:45 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. - Transportation to hotel

Registration fee

• $325 per coach if registered by August 15, 2024
• $375 per coach if registered after August 15, 2024

Registration fee includes 

• Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner 
• All presentations on Saturday 
• Sunday breakfast and lunch
• Transportation to and from the pool on Sunday 
• All pool presentations on Sunday 
• Electronic copies of presentation materials  
• All handouts, maps and schedules will be provided in electronic format prior to the weekend

Note - USMS certified coaches who are designated coaches will automatically receive a $25 discount during registration. 

Lodging Information

USMS has secured a block of rooms at the Houston Airport Marriott at George Bush Intercontinental at a negotiated room rate of $150 (+taxes and fees) per night, and will be making all hotel reservations for those attending the National Coaches Clinic. You will be responsible for the lodging expenses.

Please complete the NCC Reservation Form, by September 13, 2024 to guarantee a hotel reservation. Requests received after this date may be subject to additional fees. If an attendee feels comfortable sharing a room and is in need of a roommate, USMS will help in pairing roommates.


Online Registration
Online registration only. Registration closes at midnight Pacific time on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 or when the enrollment reaches 125 participants.
