Pilot Registration for Swim Fort De Soto 2016

Escort (pilot) for a swimmer in the 1st Annual Swim Fort De Soto!
When: Saturday, November 5, 2016
Where: Fort De Soto Park, St. Petersburg (Tierra Verde), Florida

We're looking for volunteer pilots (kayakers, paddle boarders) to escort open water swimmers around the island of Fort De Soto Park in St. Petersburg (Tierra Verde), Florida. This is a 6.5-mile swim/paddle where the pilot will provide navigation, safety, and food/water for the swimmer. The pilot is an essential component of the swimmers success!

The race will start at the public boat ramp on Fort De Soto Park and finish at Shelter #14 on the beach.

The official race hotel is the Postcard Inn On The Beach. There are a block of 15 rooms available with a great room discount and no resort fee. When making a reservation, tell them you are with Swim Without Limits. You MUST CALL THEM or email them to book your room. Don't wait too long as once the rooms are gone, they're gone!

Each volunteer pilot receives a free race T-shirt, post race meal, special gift, and a SWAG bag. The pre-race safety meeting is taking place Saturday morning prior to the race. You can also check-in then or come to our social Friday TBD and check-in then. If you haven't already done so, each pilot will meet their swimmer during the social. The race is Saturday morning starting at 9:45 AM (pilots should plan to be there 7:30 AM). Please contact the race directors at dminer02@gmail.com or siestakeytri@gmail.com if you have any questions.
