DATE Sunday, Jan 28, 2024. - Warm-ups start at 8:00 a.m. Deck entries will only be accepted for open lanes. This is a pre-seeded meet. Meet Starts at 9:00 a.m. Event #1 (500 yard freestyle) will start at 9:00 a.m. Event #2 will start NO EARLIER THAN 9:45 a.m. Deck entries should be in no later than 9:00 a.m.
LOCATION The Natatorium is attached to Lakewood High School on Robinwood Ave. From I-90 (east or west) exit at Bunts Road. Proceed north on Bunts to Madison Ave. Turn left at Madison and proceed west to Robinwood (first street). Turn right on Robinwood Ave. and proceed to the end. The pool lobby entrance will be immediately in front of you and parking is to the right.
POOL The pool is an 8 lane, 25-yard pool with anti-turbulent lane lines and Colorado system automatic timing. An adjacent separate diving well will be available for warm-up during the meet. The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1.
ELIGIBILITY U.S. Masters Swimming 2024 rules will govern conduct of the meet. Because of insurance requirements, all swimmers must be registered U.S. Masters Swimmers. The USMS Release of Liability must be signed electronically during online meet entry. NOTE: Mail in entries will not be accepted for this meet. Swimmers may swim 6 individual events and as many relays as desired. Only swimmers entered in the meet can participate in relays. There is a “relay only” entry fee option, which is $10 and can be deck entered the day of the meet.
DEADLINES Registration must be completed online on ClubAssistant.com. Online entries will close at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Deck entries must be in hand at the Admin Desk by 9:00 a.m. on the day of the meet. See additional information on deck entry restrictions in the “Deck Entries” section below.
ENTRY LIMIT Six individual events per day, plus relays. No limit to the number of relays entered. Swimmers over entered in the meet will be removed from their last event on each day over entered.
ENTRY Early Entry Fee is $30.00 and ends at 11:59PM on January 14, 2024
FEES Regular Entry Fee is $35.00 and begins at 12:00AM on January 15, 2024
All Deck Entries (see below for deck entry restrictions) are $40.00
“Relay only” entries can be done online or deck entry. Fee is only $10.00
USMS Members age 80 and older may enter the meet online for free. The computer system will determine your age. No code is required.
Online entries are paid by credit card to ClubAssistant.com and your credit card will show a charge by "OHIOMASTERS.com" for this swim meet.
DECK All individual on-line meet entries will be pre-seeded to ensure timely functioning of the meet and so that
ENTRIES swimmers can verify heat and lane assignments when they arrive at the pool and on Swim Phone prior to the meet. Deck entries will only be available for an event which has an empty lane as seeded when you arrive at the pool. Deck entries will be entered as no time entries and must be in hand at the Admin Desk as noted in the “DATE” section above. Swimmers, please scratch any events you do not intend to swim during check-in so that deck entrants may use open lanes.
AGE Age of competitors on Jan. 28, 2024 will determine age group. Age groups are: 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, etc. For relays, age group is determined by the age of the youngest swimmer in the team (i.e. 19+, 25+, 35+, 45+, etc.). All relays can be swum with 4 women, 4 men, or mixed (exactly 2 women and 2 men).
AWARDS Individual events: First-place medal or ribbon, second and third place ribbons (there are some lower place ribbons available for those who are interested.) Relays: first, second, and third-place ribbons. For those who have too many medals and ribbons, we offer alternative awards – coupons – for first, second and third place in individual events and first place in relays. Results will be posted on www.ohiomasters.com usually within a day or two.
SEEDING Heats will be formed by submitted times, regardless of age or sex, and will progress from fast to slow to "No Time".
RESULTS Results will be posted on www.ohiomasters.com and Swim Phone usually within a day or two and on usms.org shortly after the meet.
ORDER OF All Individual Events are mixed men and women events.
All relays will be entered by relay card submission to the Admin Desk at least a half-hour before the event. Relays will be men’s (M), women’s (W) or mixed (X) with exactly 2 men and 2 women and will be swum together in a single heat indicated in the list of events below.
