DAM's Annual Lake Berryessa Swim is one of the longest running open water swim events in America. Started in 1981 as a friendly lake swim, this event now attracts over 300 swimmers each year to the shores of Lake Berryessa.
Sanction: This event is sanctioned by Pacific Masters Swimming for USMS, Inc. (Sanction #385-W002)
This event is also sanctioned by USA Swimming.

Safety Plan: Mandatory safety briefings will be held at 8:30 a.m. and at 10:15 a.m. at the information kiosk; the Event Safety Plan will be posted at the registration desk on race day and is available prior to race day by request from berryessa@damfast.org.
Entries: Paper entry form is available from berryessa@damfast.org ($5 per entrant processing fee applies). Online entry is provided by Club Assistant software (you are here now). ENTRY FEE WILL INCREASE BY $5 ON RACE DAY!
Eligibility: This event is open to U.S. Masters (USMS) registered swimmers or members of an equivalent FINA organization (for foreign swimmers). To register for the event, you must provide proof of current membership. You may register for USMS during your event entry process.
Entry Fees:
$40 1-mile Category 1 swimwear (Rule, Section 303.7)
$40 2-mile Category 1 swimwear
$65 Combined 1-mile plus 2-mile Category 1 swimwear (Rule, Section 303.7)
$40 1-mile Category 2 (wetsuit) swimwear (Rule, Section 303.7)
$40 2-mile Category 2 (wetsuit) swimwear (Rule, Section 303.7)
$65 Combined 1- and 2-mile Category 2 (wetsuit) swimwear (Rule, Section 303.7)
$3 USMS Insurance surcharge (once per swimmer)
Additional processing fees (approximately 2% of total charges) will be applied to online entries.
All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Online entry is paid by credit card to "ClubAssistant.com Events."
Scoring Divisions: divided by gender in five-year increments according to USMS Rules (18-24, 25-29, 30-34, etc.).
Awards: Unique awards will be awarded to winners in each scoring division. Separate awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in the combined Category 1 swim and each Category 2 event.
Entry deadline: Online registration closes Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 11:59 PM (Eastern time); paper entries must be received by Thursday, May 25, 2015.

Event description
- Rules: This event will be governed by 2015 USMS Rules for Open Water Swimming.
- Start: Shallow water, wave starts (by age and gender)
- Finish: Onshore
- Course: 1-mile and 2-mile single loops, courses close 60 minutes after the first finisher for each wave; expected water temperature is 65-75 degrees F, air temperature averages 75-85 degrees F.
- Check-in: opens at 7:30 a.m. and closes at 9:15 a.m. for 2-mile event and at 11:05 a.m. for 1-mile event
- Starts: first 2-mile wave starts at 9:45 a.m., first 1-mile wave starts at 11:35 a.m.
- Snacks, water, and sports drink will be provided.
- Commemorative t-shirts and mugs may be purchased during event registration.
- BBQ lunch may be purchased during event registration.
- Lodging: Primitive (no water or electricity) campsites are available at Steele Canyon, contact Trish Price for reservations. Full hookup camping sites are available at Pleasure Cove Marina (http://goberryessa.com, click on “Forever Resorts Marinas”). Nearest hotels are in Napa, Vacaville, or Fairfield.
