Location:  Willamalane Swim Center, 1276 G St, Springfield, OR 97477.  (541) 736-4080

• 25 yard course
• 5-6 lanes competition (depending on number of entries) with 2 lanes for continuous wu/wd. 
• Directions to the pool:   From north:  south on I-5, take exit 194A and take 126 east.  Turn right onto Mohawk Blvd south. Turn right on G Street.  Pool is on the right.  From south:  north on I-5, take exit 191.  Turn right onto Glenwood Blvd (north).  Turn right on Franklin Blvd (126).  Continue through the traffic circle - Franklin Blvd becomes S A Str (still 126). Turn left on 14^th street.  Then, turn left on G Street (pool is on the right).

Eligibility: Open to all 2024 USMS or foreign registered swimmers 18 or over.  Age group is based on the swimmer’s age as of April 6, 2024. Foreign registered swimmers need to provide proof of current registration with their country’s governing body for Masters swimming. Unregistered swimmers MUST sign up for a 2024 USMS membership before registering for this meet, and may register online at www.usms.org/join. This membership makes you eligible to register for meets for the rest of 2024. 

Age groups:  18-24, 25-29, 30-34, etc..  Relay age groups: 18+, 25+, 35+, 45+, 55+, etc.. Your competition age is your age on the last day of the meet (January 20, 2024).

Entry Fee: $35.00.  Online entries are paid by credit card to "Swimoregon.org." 

Entry Limit:  Six (6) individual events.  One (1) relay (same sex or mixed) per relay event.

Schedule:  Saturday,April 6, 2024. 

• Warm-up:            11:45 am - 12:30 pm
• Meet Start:          12:45 pm

Check-in Deadlines (individual events):  Positive check-in:

• 400 IM:     12:15 pm (30 minutes before meet begins)
• 500 Free:  Before 200 Breast (Event 19) begins

Relays:  Enter relays at the meet.  Relay entry cards must be submitted before the following events: 

• 200 Med Relay – before start of 200 Fly (Event 3)
• 200 Mixed Free relay – before start of 50 Fly (Event 9)
• 200 Free Relay – before start of 200 IM (Event 15)
• 200 Mixed Med Relay – before start of 200 Breast (Event 19)

Results:  Results will be posted at the pool and will be available online at www.SwimOregon.org
 
Awards:  OMS ribbons for places 1-3 in individual events.

Pool Length Compliance:  The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1.
 
TIMING SYSTEM: The primary timing system will be automatic timing with 2 back-up buttons and two watches. Times from this competition will be eligible for USMS records and Top Ten consideration.

Split Requests:  Initial split times from an individual or relay event will be accepted as an individual performance and will be considered for Top 10 if it is deemed an official time.  Split times will be considered for a USMS record only if recorded by automatic timing (for a world record: automatic timing, or semiautomatic if automatic fails).  The request for relay leadoff split times and initial backstroke distance times in individual backstroke events must be made prior to the swim.  The swimmer must notify the Meet Referee of the intent to record an initial split time prior to the conclusion of the meet.

TOBACCO PRODUCTS: Smoking and use of other tobacco products is prohibited on the pool deck, in locker rooms, in spectator seating and standing areas, and in all areas used by swimmers during the meet and during the warm-up periods in connection with the meet.

CAMERAS, VIDEO EQUIPMENT, AND DRONES: The use of cameras, including cell phone cameras and/or other recording devices, is prohibited behind the starting platforms during the start of races including relay starts.  The use of audio and/or visual recording devices, including cell phone cameras, is prohibited in changing areas, restrooms, and locker rooms.  Operation of drones, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venues (pool, athlete/coach areas, and open ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches, officials, and/or spectators are present.

BACKSTROKE CLINIC:  David Berkoff, Team Eugene Senior Coach/Olympic Gold medalist/World Record Holder, will lead a backstroke clinic prior to the swim meet.  It will be held at Willamalane Swim Center on April 6, 2024 from 10 am - 11:30 am.  Swimmers can register for the clinic at - https://www.clubassistant.com/club/meet_information.cfm?c=1352&smid=18306 

Order of Events:  All events will be seeded SLOW TO FAST regardless of gender or age.
