Welcome to the 18th Annual Tropical Splash Swim Meet
January 13, 2024
 

Warm-ups start: 7:30 am
Meet start: 8:30 am (estimated finish: 1:30 pm).
  The St. James Sports Complex
6805 Industrial Road, Springfield, VA 22151
 

• 10 lane x 25-yard pool. 8 lanes will be used for competition.
• Automatic timing will be used.
• 4 continuous 25-yard warm-up lanes will be available until 1pm, 1 lane will be reserved for 65+ swimmers.
• Lap counter cards will be available for the 500-yd swim but you must provide your own counter.
• The length of the competition course is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1, but as a bulkhead course is subject to length confirmation. Eligibility of times for USMS Top 10 and records will be contingent on verification of bulkhead placement.

• Meet is open to all US Masters Swimmers with valid 2024 registration. International entries are subject to verification and may require additional documentation. Please submit a copy of your Masters Registration card/letter from your governing body to meet@alexandriamasters.com. Verification is required at the time of online entry. If you do not present verification, you will not be permitted to swim in the competition.
• Swimmers may enter up to 5 individual events.
• 2024 United States Masters Swimming rules will apply.
• Event 19 will be an unofficial, 3-person 150-yard Coconut Relay.
• Swimmers may swim only once in each relay event.
• Events will be combined men and women. Heats will be seeded slowest to fastest. Relays will be deck seeded.

• Meet will be limited to the first 200 entries received.
• Deck entries will be accepted at meet director discretion.  
• Due to time constraints, the 500-yd freestyle was limited to the first 28 entries.
• If the 500 is full when you register, you may contact the meet director to be placed on a wait list.
• Relays will be deck entered. Only swimmers entered in the individual meet events are eligible for relays.
• 200-yd Relays – pick up and turn in entry forms at the officials table. Entries due by the end of Event 1. Relays can be put together as male, female, and mixed. If swimming in a male/female relay, you cannot swim in the mixed relay of that same event. Relay seeind and lane assignments will be posted at the start end of the pool.
• Coconut Relay – Pick up and turn in entry form at the officials table. Entries due by the end of Event 11. Relays consist of 3 people, and can include any swimmers in the meet – any club, male or female.

• Competitors may enter up to 5 individual events for a $45 fee, with no charge for relays.
• Deck entries, if accepted, will be $50 for 5 individual events, with no charge for relays.
