Entry Requirements:
Swimmers must be registered USMS members, or obtain a one-event registration.

Warm-up: 9:30 a.m. CDT
Event Start Time: 10:30 a.m. CDT

Facility:
The meet will be held in the indoor, 25-yd. by 50-m competition Sanford Health pool at the Midco Aquatic Center, 1601 S. Western Ave., Sioux Falls, SD 57105, 605-367-7665. The meet will take place in ten SCY lanes with two lanes designated for warm-up and cool-down throuhgout the meet.  The length of the competition course is not on file with USMS. Eligibility of times achieved in this meet will be contingent upon pool length measurement and approval with USMS; if bulkheads are present their placement must also be confirmed by measurements at the meet (USMS articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1)  

Timing System:
The primary timing system will be fully automatic. Times may be submitted for USMS records and Top 10 consideration.
 
Rules:
United States Masters Swimming rules will govern. The meet referee will be in charge of the meet. Any questions regarding the conduct of the meet should be directed to that person. All events are timed finals. Swimmers are limited to a total of 5 individual events, not including relays. Age on May 20th, 2023, determines age group for the meet. You must be at least 18 years of age on May 20th to compete. 

Deck Changes:
Deck Changes will not be permitted. 

Entries:
On-line entry fee is $30.00, deadline is Friday, May 12th, 2023, at 11:59 PM. No deck entries. Please note that this meet will move quickly. Also, please note that if you sign up for consecutive events, you may have little or no rest between the races.

Disability Swimmers:
Disability swimmers are welcome. Please notify the meet director and meet referee, prior to the competition, of any disability and of the requested modification. The swimmer/coach shall provide any assistant(s) or equipment if required. 

Seeding:
All events will be seeded slowest to fastest, by entered time, ages and sexes combined. 

Relays:
All relays will be deck entered on relay forms available at the meet. Only swimmers registered for the meet may swim on relays. A swimmer may swim only ONE 200yd Medley Relay (Events #6, #7, #8) and ONE 200yd Free Relay (Events #15, #16, #17). 

T-Shirts:
South Dakota Masters Swimming t-shirts are available for purchase as part of the registration process.  Those not swimming in the meet, but wish to purchase a shirt, may contact Katherine Olson at the information above.  Shirts in sizes XS-XL are $20, sizes 2XL and 3XL are $22.  The deadline for ordering t-shirts is Thursday, May 4th.  

Awards:
Ribbons for places 1-8 in each age group will be made available at an awards table.

Snack Bar:
Hot and cold drinks, snacks, and food will be available for purchase and may be consumed in the designated food court or in the spectator stands. Please note that outside food and beverages are not allowed in the facility. Food, and beverages other than water, are not permitted on the pool deck.

Other Facility Notes:
Swimmers and spectators shall enter through the east doors of the facility (signage will be present).  Swimmers also are encouraged to take a 30 second warm shower before getting in to assist with air quality - deck showers are also available.

4. 200 yd Breaststroke
5. 25 yd. Freestyle*
6-8. Women, Men and Mixed 200 yd. Medley Relay

10. 50 yd. Breaststroke
11. 100 yd. Freestyle
12. 25 yd. Breaststroke*
13. 100 yd. Butterfly
14. 50 yd. Backstroke
15-17. Women, Men and Mixed 200 yd. Freestyle Relay
18. 500 Free

10 minute break

*25 yd. events are not recognized by USMS and will not be submitted for Top Ten considerations.
